In March: next week is out as I've got a uni essay due on Wednesday and then another one due on Sat, plus a tutorial on Sat. Mega stressed!

w/c 8th - working every weekday but could do Sat 13th.
w/c 15th - could do Mon - Fri but not weekend
    w/c 22nd - anyday but not Wed 24th
w/c 29th - working Mon 29th, but nothing else booked yet

Things change on a daily basis though depending on what work I get offered.
    How about Saturday 13th then?
Beenie, newbie_maz and angela, how would that be for you?

    Morning all..

    *hugs all round*

Didn't want to get up this morning. We laid in bed drifting back to sleep but being woken every ten minutes by snooze on our mobiles and the alarm clock for about 90 minutes :o Finally got up cos Rhys woke up. Despite his room being 20C, his hands were freezing and verging on purple :( (rest of him was alright though)

Off to the hospital for us shortly - blood test with OH for back up ;) - then home for lunch and later out to meet Sami, Chris and Edgar :D

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Have sat for 10 minutes (when I should have been working) wondering whether to post this or not because I am not after tons of sympathy and hugs :o I just feel if I don't say how I am feeling to somebody it will eat me up. Please ignore me.
    Have a hug anyway. :grouphug:

    Hi. Quick question..

How long would you expect a tumble drier to last?

White Knight. £250-ish. Light to moderate usage.

    Roughly?
I would expect three years minimum. If you google how long should appliances last, there are lists of how long you would expect things to last.

Beenie – I have a Hotpoint tumble dryer and it has gone wrong after 2 years. It is working aain at the moment but won’t last long. My Beko dishwasher only lasted 2 years too. As they were out of warranty, DH threw the receipts out otherwise I would have returned them both under consumer rights. I would reasonably expect them to last around 7 years. The engineer who consigned our dishwasher to white goods heaven said that Beko was usually a good make for dishwashers so it just shows that you can be unlucky regardless of brand.

Harley – good luck being back at work. I hope Kezia gets on well at nursery.

Hammy – I looked at the Antilop but didn’t feel it was padded enough for a younger baby. I bought a Chicco Happysnack (£50 from Argos) and have been pleased with it so far, but I haven’t had it long. It folds away well and seems reasonably easy to clean whilst having decent padding. I would buy the Antilop as a spare highchair or if I needed to save money because it does seem good value. My friend has had one for 9 years and child number 4 is now using it!

Aless – When are you off to the hotel? Good luck!

Becles – I agree with the others. You definitely need to sort out the financial aspect, although I never really understand how married couples have separate finances. There is no way it would be acceptable to me to be struggling to make ends meet whilst OH was drinking etc, I know everyone is different though. Can Craig not read downstairs before going to bed?

Weezl – Hope Fergie gets on ok at childminders. Your letter looks fine, not too OTT and specific like some could end up!

Glam – Hope you get your car today and enjoy taking it for a spin!

Can’t remember anything else so hello to all. xx

I usually just smell cream and if it smells okay I get OH to taste a little bit to make sure.

hugs to all who need it this morning...sorry some of you are feeling down :(.

a bit of chaos chez moi...firstly, DH is being a right arsey grump (he gets in these horridly foul moods that take absolutely hours to snap out of) which doesnt help matter. Then the contractor doing our bathroom decided not to turn up for work, so we had to moan at our landlord who then moaned at the company and luckily all is sorted and another guy is coming over shortly (it would've really sucked as we're booked into a hotel for 2 nights, plus DH took today off, etc.).

Anyone know how long car tax refunds take? DH applied ages ago and we haven't heard a peep. Just had to fork out to tax the replacement car and was hoping to have the refund to pay for it by now!!

If one person has debts or a bad credit record then it is best to keep all financial products separate. Also some people find that they can jointly manage the money between them better if they have separate money.
