I agree, finders keepers. Unless you've seen who just lost it iykwim?

My ex's mother once saw a person drop a £20, then covered it with her foot while the poor man looked everywhere for it and bought herself stuff with the cash.

I was horrified and said so. No wonder she didn't like me...

But once I found a €25 voucher for a department store in a library book. I took it back to the library and they wouldn't take it for the person who'd had the book last... so I spent it.

SS- Thanks i'm looking at comet clearance now, bit confused by the bidding though, is it eBay stylee?

AFAIK it is :) There are a few on ebay too.

DKAM are there any staff at the refuge who'd go with you to the petrol station and take care of it for you till tomorrow?

    Thats awful! Cheeky mare.

I saw a little old lady drop a roll of £20's, must have been about £200, as we went into Asda one Christmas eve. I chased her and gave it back.
When we'd finished shopping, she was waiting by Customer Services with a chocolate santa each for J & L. Bless her. :A

I feel a bit bad now that I buy cigs (well tobacco) out of OH's wages now.

Thing is though, OH doesn't even care if I went and spent all the money out of his bank (I don't!) as he said I am looking after Keira full time (Though he says that is easy!) Actually, It IS easy looking after her, and loads of fun too (but sssssh!) It's the housework I hate!

We don't have any debt thankfully (well vet bill) I'm sure if the circumstances were different, everything would be accounted for.

Oh yeah, I got a letter through from the vet today, an invoice for the £200 remaining on the bill. Ehhh !!!!!!, they told me I could pay it over 5/6 months. I paid £350 2 weeks ago, and they send me a 1st invoice notice today? What's that about! I gave them £50 over the phone, but seriously, why tell me I can pay over 5 months, and the vet said to me "Oh just pop in whenever with money or phone up"

So this month I have paid £400, there is £150 outstanding and the receptionist on the phone was taking a huff because I stated I had months left to pay that and I'm sorry but the Vet said I could pay over 5 months, and they will be getting it all within 2/3months. Not my fault they charge extortiante prices.

I'm just annoyed, I feel pressured into paying it all at once now, debt gives me the sweats.

I have to go out and get electric, I have 13p in my meter :rotfl: and that's emergency. I hate having a key thingy, but I have to pay to get it taken out? I didn't get it put in! The last tennants did.

Beccles - Your OH sounds like a douche. Sorry :o If he wants to read tell him to do it in the kitchen or the living room....
But YEY at James getting into the Catholic school

SS - Sorry to hear about bank charges :(

My dad found £100 in notes under a bush, they were just in a soggy pile (he is a gardener for the council, that's why he was in a bush :rotfl:) so he took them home and blow dryed them haha.

My mum also found over £500 on a bus  this was when I was about 2 and she was skint, so she kept it.....It was in a brown envelope stuck down between the bus seats and there was a baggy of drugs in it too! She threw those away (she say lol) so was probably some drug dealers dough....

    hate mat pay!!!

just listed our bumbo on ebay. we dont use it as much as i thought we would so i might as well get money for it. need to tell DH now.

still only bidder on the 3-wheel buggy so fingers crossed we win it :D
least the money i earn on the bumbo will cover the cost of the buggy.
