Any reason why Jack can't have sausage and mash?

The sausages are frozen so would be cooked tonight and then given to him tomorrow (will keep in the fridge)
as long as you're happy with the contents of the sausage (I would be) but remember it's cruel to not provide onion gravy :D

hmm...been to another nursery this morning for a visit. its ok but not fantastic although they did tell me that they have been awarded a grant to improve it and i could see the work going on. (building an extension) so i'm sure when thats completed it will be a lot better.children all looked happy although they all oohed and ahhed over Kian none of them offered to play with him while they showed me around. it wasnt as big as the one i saw last. although that one has been built to be a nursery as opposed to a house being converted to a nursery. and they said they can be flex with days we need to use them which is a bonus. there is only a few babies at the moment so K would get a lot of 1-1.

so, i'm not wowed but it does suit us in other ways. tough choice methinks. another one to see tomorrow and i have emailed another 2 childminders who advertise vacancies to see if they can take K from may and how much they charge.

need DH to come with me i think before I make the decision.

why is choosing a nursery/CM so blinking hard???

Well, they are Richmond sausages and I eat them!

I was thinking about onion gravy but I was under the impression that there was too much Salt in gravy??????

My friend said I shouldn't give J my homemade bolganese because I put some Oxo cubes in it.

Everything in moderation Glam - there may be salt in the bolognese, but if he isnt eating anything else with salt in then its fine to give him every once in a while ;)
I use the Bisto reduced salt granules in Seth's food, but I usually feed him mashed veg/pasta in either cheese sauce or passata, and when he goes to the CM's he has his meaty meals out of jars! Next time I do a big batch of spag bog I'll see how he goes with it. Its just cos I CBA to clean the blender, and I cant mash meat :rotfl:

no salt in homemade gravy, or use the reduced salt stuff.
Like Em said it's fine as long as he's not eating something salty all day everyday.
I asked the HV about oxo in spag bol n she said the same, although I've switched to the kallo stock cubes now because I myself find oxo too salty (I hate salt) heinz do baby stock cube that are on offer in asda at the mo, not go around to seeing if they cheaper than kallo yet though

    awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! *heart melts*

    classic or linear?

    why I hated the 3d;
It's not very easy to push/steer
it's a bastarge to fold - supposedly you can fold it in newborn mode and with hood still attached - lies, lies I tell thee!
all the zip pulls kept falling off
the 'newborn' bit is too small (Chris out grew it between 3/4 mths and he was a small baby)
the basket is pretty small and has an opening about the size of a letter box
I got the matching carseat (they have since changed this so not sure if still the case) Chris out grew it at about 5mths luckily a friend gave me their old one so I didn't have to fork out another £100+ for a new to use for 4mths.

I think the only thing I liked about it was that the back of the hood zipped off to create a sun canopy - much better than a parasol.

I ahve the 3d classic too!
Not problems pushing or steering here, It hink it's a nice sturdy pram and Liam always seems really cosy in it. You can fold it with the pram liner in, when in newborn mode, but not with the hood too, but you can fold it in pushchair mode with the hood and the coseytoes on :)
It is heavy, but it lives in my boot so is only an issue when getting in and out.
The basketr is neither use nor ornament and the raincover is such a faff :/

I need to go to ASDA later for Potatoes so I'll take a look. I think I remember seeing Baby Stock cubes - might have been Heinz. The point is I didn't want to be cooking 2 lots of bolganese but hey ho.

Will also check out the gravy, I refuse to pay for those piddly overpriced baby ones!

Its not the gravy I use Glam, its stock granules :) I've just switched to using them for our food now as well. OH puts salt on his now cos he says he misses it, but I cant taste the difference!

After you said about onion gravy I've been looking at recipes, what a load of hassle! I think I'll stick to granules :o by the time I've done my heaving toad in the hole and spuds no way am I gonna go to that effort, unless I'm trying to suck up over something :rotfl:
