That is very true! At the most you might want to listen to music while surfing the net and just like the iphone when your ipod is playing switching doesn't stop the music. One of the best explanations I've heard why it doesn't really need it!There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

That's not multi-tasking, that's doing one thing at a time.
Anyone see the Grammys?

Despite the hype I've only just looked at the iPad - I have to say I'm not sure what this device is for - its seriously floored IMHO.
- No Multi Tasking (Big Problem)
- No expandable storage
- No connections - HDMI etc
- No FLASH support
This is going to be a pretty expensive device - you'd get a very good netbook for the same money with a lot more capability. I think Apple have messed up here - they should have made a netbook. I definitely wont be buying one.0 -
Limited multi-tasking ability is probably its biggest downfall. Rumours abound concerning multi-tasking in iPhone OS 4, so I guess we'll see.
I'm not too worried about the lack of Flash. It'll become less used as time goes on. Steve Jobs' demo of a Flash website during his keynote wasn't an accident. He was saying to web developers: "look what your site is going to look like if you use Flash".
YouTube is already moving to HTML 5, and other sites will follow.0 -
Flash might disappear in time but it can be quite annoying surfing the web without it - I think I'd want it now if I had bought an iPad.0

I guess it depends what sort of websites you use. I loathe Flash with a passion, so I welcome anything that brings its ultimate demise closer.0 -

Seriously, whats the the Multi-Tasking obession thats so prevalent in this thread, everybody is on about this, on this and the iPhone. My iPhone is for my music, internet/email when commuting, ocado, playing games and obviously phone calls, i dont need to multi-task on my phone. I cant think of any professional that wil require a phone to multitask. However technically speaking, the iPhone can multi-task - it can play the music in the background!
On the iPad, its not meant as process heavy computer, what yoy going to do, try and use photoshop - its meant for the internet and for eBook reading. If you want a internet device that can multi task, choose another brand and stop with the whining !!!!!!! If you want a device that can access the internet that is as easy as picking up a magazine, here is the device for you.:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

The iPad isn't a phone though, and it's not competing against other phones. Being able to surf the web or read my emails while still being logged into IM or Pandora would be a nice feature to have.
I don't think it's as much of a big deal as everyone makes out, but it's more important on an iPad than on an iPhone, and I disagree that it's a total non-issue.0
