I don't know what your DH drinks, but get a non-alcoholic alternative. After a couple of real drinks, get him to change to non-alcoholic beer/wine etc.

Also, why not tell him you stopped ttc, and let's just dtd for fun for now (not preventing, just let nature do it)..
Obviously, if you get pg, then that's great. Make sure you are still on the game though, and guide dtd near ov:p

Marriage is give and take, let him win this time, so to speak;)

Hey Q, Thanks for the support. I have purchased Shloer, elderflower and Ame, you name it. I cram the fridge with fizzy water too. After the chat last night it appears being knocked out helps him get to sleep and stops all the work things running around his head. I suppose the main thing is that he admits he has a problem...even after a couple of drinks he admits it too.
I'm prepared to chillax. I'm pleased my body is getting regular in it's cycle so it will help to plan in the future.
My nature is to plan. My plans will just take a bit longer that's all.

Ok, I'm post happy this morning but I just wanted to offer some advice for those who do not have the luxury of a CBFM...although I'm on CD18 peak so body seems to be working nicey.

What I have noticed...because I pee in the night I usually collected a little for the CBFM to test as the FMU. I collect it in a clear plastic ramekin I got with my M&S deal for £10. Now, for 2 months, the days when it has peaked on my CBFM, it has been more cloudy rather than clear....really quite milky looking rather than the lucozade look.
It might be a pain to do this for you but it's a cheaper alternative :)

    Interesting:think:

I do have some empty mineral water bottles so I could try those.
I've never taken a sample apart from at the docs.
I could have a look, and throw it away asap. Thanks:)

Morning all..just waving OH off to work again. It's a bit of a bummer that he's got to work most of the weekend, but I keep reminding myself that he's getting double time, and we can always do with the extra money :)

Fanta/Dusty I hope you're both ok. I dont really know what to say, except I know how frustrating and upsetting it can be to have an OH who has a problem. With my ex it was weed..he smoked it every day and just couldn't seem to function without it. Luckily I never contemplated having a family with him, and eventually I threw him out. He was 5 years younger than me, and quite immature. I just couldnt see us going anywhere, and I was effectively wasting my time (I was in my early 30's).

My current OH who I love to bits, is the same age as me, has been married before and is far more mature. However he also used to drink a fair bit (as did I, I have to admit) and he was a really heavy smoker too which used to upset me.

But he gave the smokes up a year ago and hasnt touched them since and we've both cut right down on the booze. Its not easy for him as he has a stressful job too, and loves to come home and open a bottle of wine/beers.

Not sure where I'm going with my ramble...:o Guess I just wanted you to know that all these problems are common in relationships and all you can do is work at them.

Glad you seem to have your PMA back FF.

    Hello all,

Haven't been on here for ages so lots of new faces/names!!

    Hope everyone has been well.

I'm basically writing this post to say bye and good luck to you all. I am now single and so my dreams of having a baby anytime soon are gone.

My ex and i decided we wanted different things and in all honesty i am glad that we split now as i feel much happier.

But that means i will no longer be needing this thread. I wish you all the best and will prob lurk for a bit to see how you all get on.

    Take care

All the best TAN. It's better to have none with the right person than one with the wrong one :)

MV - my buddy, how are you doing - how slowly is our 2ww going? AF is due on my birthday - at least if she comes no worries about limiting the cocktails. However, also means I have to go to docs to start the process as promised OH.

FF, I am glad sexkillen said something as it has been worrying me since you had the BIG row with OH and said you were saying goodbye to us here. You've come back (and we love you here) but feels kinda sad that your monitoring ovs etc and yet there's a black hole in your sex life.
