Interestingly though, the day of my first peak, I had a spare OPK stick in the bathroom so I decided to POAS, and the line was there but not very dark..which was odd. So if I'd be relying on the OPK stick, we probably wouldnt have BD'd necessarily that day.
Time will tell, but I'm happy to rely on the monitor rather than the OPK's as I find the whole comparing lines thing a bit of a pain.
Hmmmm, interesting
It will be good to see how effective our CBFMs are!!
GFH - Aren't you supposed to be away on hols??? Get off the computer and go enjoy yourself:D x

LOL its persisting down and waiting for DH to finish playing chess (not exactly hols!) been into Basingstoke shopping and just chilling in hotel room til he wins (hopefully!).
I have left CBFM behind, since really don't know what is going on with me, do you have to turn it on every day? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
GFH I'd suggest turning it on everyday for the first half of the month as it tells you when it wants you to POAS from around day 6/7.
After you've ov'd etc it will go back to low, and after this I wouldnt have thought you need to turn it on everyday..I do though just because the novelty still hasn't worn off!
Do you girls think the fact I had a bit of a headache this morning after a few glasses of Sake, is a very bad thing? I know I shouldnt drink at all during the 2WW, but it's so hard to completely stop, especially on a weekend.
Obviously the minute I get preg, that'll be in, but do you think drinking during the 2WW can affect you actually getting preg??Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
I honestly don't think so, but it may affect your DH's contribution to the project, IYSWIM. (obv I mean his drinking not yours)Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Lol! I see what you mean GFH!
OH has cut down a lot on the booze bless him. I just wondered if it can effect the whole conception thing if we were lucky enough to have caught the elusive egg!
I'm not going to drink anything else alcoholic this weekend, and then next weekend AF is due, so I'll do my very best not to have a sneaky glass of wine mid week (I do love wine!)Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Me too. I don't think there is any evidence that it will affect your chances. Have friend who was pregnant for four months before she realised and treating the tired feelings with a little extra wine...horrified when she realised of course. Baby was fine and is 8 now and hyper-bright.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Just another add on for the CBFM ladies....don't get a stick ready unless the machine asks you. Day 2 of my peak, I had it all ready to go in and the sodding machine didn't ask for one so I wasted one. Once it gets to know you it stops asking.
I know it seems a waste as we are not on those terms at the mo but if I can get away with 10 sticks that's about £7 a month. Best to know than not.
I'm thinking of stopping temping too and charting. The CBFM seems to do it all and the "myfertilityfriend" I've just discovered has a fee from 3 months on so sod that! Might have to transfer the info to another charter but free - but then again is it worth the hassle if the wee machine does it for you?

well i've been a bit lax for the last few days, i've not taken my temp. I'm sure i peaked before friday and we hadn't dtd so no need to worry. Saw the Dr on friday and am having some tests again. He did say that although the constant bleeding doesn't necessarily mean i won't get pregnant it it's unlikely that i will. so i guess i'm just going to go back to the if it happens it happens basis, which is what i always promised myself things would be like. I'll still lurk if thats ok.0
