Right, back from my relexologist and she upped the ante today, so am feeling more positive. It's amazing what a nice foot rub can do :)

RE: Exercise - I started running about 6 weeks ago and am loving it. I go out 3 times a week and would like to think I would continue if I got preggers - but we'll see.

Right off to make hubby some tea. Found some potatoes so am going to make him a shepherds pie. Wholewheat pasta and cheese and tomato sauce for me :D

Happy BD'ing everyone. Looks like I might get lucky today judging by DH's mood :j

    Shepherds Pie

    Lamb mince
    1 large Onion - diced
    2 carrots - chopped
    Frozen peas
Courgette (optional - I stick one in to up the quota of f&v)
2 Lamb stock cubes (or lamb stock if you have some in the freezer)
    plain flour
    Water
    Rosemary (optional)
    Porridge oats (optional)
    Potatoes
    Sweet potato (optional)

Fry chopped onion in a little olive oil until soft then add your mince and fry till browned. If you're trying to loose weight, drain the fat off then crumble your stock cubes in & stir well. (if your stock cubes need dissolving in water leave this bit out for now)

Sprinkle in a couple of tbsp of plain flour and coat the mince well (this will thicken your sauce). Slowly add about a pint of hot water (with your lamb stock cubes in if they need dissolving), stirring as you go.

Chuck in your peas, carrots, courgette and rosemary, bring to the boil then turn down to simmer for *some* time (sorry, I don't time things) Turn the oven on to about gas 7/8 to heat up. At this point, I also add a couple of small handfuls of porridge oats. Bulks it out and it goes further. Don't orry - you can't taste them!

Meanwhile boil your potatoes/sweet potatoes (I like both mashed together) season and mash well.

Pour your mince into an ovenproof dish, top with mash and scrape the top with a fork to fluff it up.

Sprinkle with cheese (optional) and stick in the oven for approx half an hour.

Voila. We had this the other night (well, 3 nights in a row actually - DH loved it!!!)

    SK x

Lol, you're welcome. The porridge oats are totally optional. They do make it go much further tho - ideal if you're on a budget like we are.

Just read on FB that a mate of mine's wife has just had her 12 week scan (2nd preg) and they are expecting twins!

He was saying how mental going from 1 toddler of 2 to 3 little un's in such a short spac of time is 'mind blowing'

I'm jealous! Just one would do me!

Well you are a lovely bunch of ladies. Have come home with a massive migraine but have decided to try to start the weekend positively. I feel like a yoyo at the moment.

Today is CD17, EWCM is there and OV knocking on my door. Should God perform a miracle on my marriage I may (HA FAT CHANCE) BD at the right time. Make-up sex would be good but then again so would winning the lottery.

I would love to get PG, not tell DH til things start to improve then just go...."we're pregnant" or wait til he notices a bump. Now I am being silly but we can but dream. Like the lottery, you have to be in it to win it and quite frankly my dears, I'm penniless in the love/affection front at the mo.

SBTA and happy bank holiday Weekend x

Hey Dusty. It's ok to ask...yes, the booze is a big problem in our relationship. It doesn't help that I don't drink or if I do it's usually down to peer pressure. When we had our chat on Monday night it made the difference for Tuesday with none. Then, last night again too many so slurred words and a couple of staggers. It gets me so down as we had a lovely night. He admits he has a problem in not knowing when to stop and can't just have one and stop.
He does sound a right !!!!!! I know and at the moment is not being the person I fell in love with. At the moment more harm that good is happening between us. I know I was on a high(er) last night but feel so down tonight. Maybe it's me. Maybe because I know OV is hours away that I want everything to be better. It wont be. I'm too hurt. I just don't understand that if he's having this meltdown that having quality or intimate time with me is such a negative. Does sod all for your confidence that's for sure.
    Rant over.
Lump in throat about to cry so signing off x

Ooh I'm sorry to upset you FF. My OH is exactly the same but I'm so embarrased about it I can't really talk to anyone about it. When he's drunk he gets nasty and says hurtful things. The next day he is full of apologies and regret and so it is forgottwn until the next weekend. He was partucluarly bad over Easter, even insulting my best friend which was a step too far for me.
As my OH works night he sometimes gets home at 7am and cracks open a bottle of wine, I know to him that;s his evening but when I wake up at 9am and he is p!ssed it breaks my heart (although to be fair he hasn't done this for a while)
Weekends ar the only time we get together and he is wasted for all of it.
I've been telling him that once a baby comes along he can't be doing this but I want him to change before we get PG. He is so perfect when he isn't drunk but his attitude when drunk could well split us up.

Well rant over, it's good to finally get it off my chest.

If it cheers you up it's 7.06pm and I'm still in work :(

    Hope I didn't upset you too much...x
