Giz - i live near bournemouth where abouts did you go?
Poor people.
Lauralou, we were going to camp in Poole I think - I'm not entirely sure as I left it up to OH to organiseWe'll probably still go but later in the year.
@lillian - congrats on getting married
Were there any BFPs in the last week? I couldn't see any
GTS - Can you cross me off the list please. I've had spotting and cramps, so I'm certain I'm due on tomorrow or Saturday as predicted. So on to cycle 4 of TTC.
Seems like you guys are having fun with your CBFMs
I'm going to update my FF chart now.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Feisty - Maybe try some of the Clear Blue OPKs this cycle? Re temping - I've never done it myself. But the basics are that you use a basal body thermometer to take your temp every single morning. You have to do it at the same time every morning (ie 7am) as soon as you wake up, even before you get out of bed, have a pee, make a cup of tea etc. You then input the data onto something like the Fertility Friend (FF) website, and that will tell you when OVd and AF is due. Although that will tell you after you've OV'd, so really is best used in conjunction with OPKs and EWCM. Waffling a bit aren't I??? Or you could just get a CBFM, where you just poas and let the machine tell you what to do :rotfl:...like me
Giz - I was thinking about you and hoping you'd managed to jet off! Sounds like you had a fab time :j I've just booked our flights for a long weekend in Spain in June. Did you manage to get some nice stress-free, relaxing BD'ing in?? Oh, and no, you ha:jven't missed any BFPs- we've been waiting for you to come back
Ive got my reflexology appt tomorrow, which is good timing. The lady timed it to co-oincide with start of high/peak season - so fingers crossed!
Hope you all have a wonderful evening x0 -
Morning all.
So, AF has officially arrived early (CD24 instead of CD27/28). In a way I'm pleased since I already felt this cycle was bust and now we can start afresh. Hopefully CBFM will arrive on time. GTS - can you change my testing date from to 27th May.
Feisty - I can't get the cheapy OPKs to work either. Maybe, since our cycles have been shorter than expected, we're not testing early enough? Temping is easy enough once you get into a routine...I just sit it on top of my alarm clock to remind me to take it. Think the thermometer cost ~ £10. Also when you register with fertility friend for free you still get their tutorials which teach you about temping, CM monitoring etc. Before I started TTC I had about as much knowledge of baby making as the average 14yr old so I found this really useful.
Sammy - hey life buddy...hopefully we can graduate together soon.

I feel a bit bad as we did not DTD. Whilst there I did not have the confidence without my dilators and didn't want to set myself up for failure.
Well I came on this morning. I've got rectal bleeding and in a lot on pain again. I've decided enough is enough and I'm going to book in for a docs appointment and beg for a gynae referral. For those of you that don't know, I already had a gastro referral and he blamed the rear bleeding on my diet, but I just don't 'feel' that it's that and can't help but think it could still be endo. Either way I need something done about this as I'm sat here at work in pain despite taking the 'strong' painkillers I've been prescribed with my hotwater bottle when all I want to do is curl up in bed.
So I should be due on 28th May, GTS can you add me to testing list for 4th June?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Lump in throat about to cry so signing off x
Sorry if I'm way out of line & way out of course.
Gizmodo, sorry the AF got you, and also the other bleeding.
Hope the docs will sort you out.
I haven't ov'd yet, thought I did but the temp went down again. Me and my long cycles... I get 2 while you get 3:(
Was great when not ttc though:p0 -

Sorry you're feeling so poorly and I think you're right to ask for a referral. Don't let them fob you off with 'it must be your diet'. That's such a cop out and totally unconstructive . If they genuinely think it's a diet issue then they should be checking for gluten, lactose intolerance etc.0 -

Herbs (see caution below)
Herbal treatment is aimed at restoring hormone imbalances, and encouraging ovulation if it is not occurring. It will also give you the best possible chance of maintaining a pregnancy, should you conceive.
Agnus Castus (Vitex or Chaste tree berry)
This is the herb of choice for helping to restore hormone imbalance and increasing fertility. In one study 48 women diagnosed with infertility took agnus castus daily for three months, 7 of them became pregnant during that time and 25 of them regained normal progesterone levels.
Agnus castus is particularly helpful for those women who have a luteal phase defect (shortened second half to the cycle) or those with high prolactin levels, because it stimulates the proper functioning of the pituitary gland which controls the hormones.
Agnus castus works to restore hormonal balance and can be used where there are hormone deficits as well as excesses it:- Regulates periods
- Restarts periods which have stopped
- Helps with heavy bleeding
- Increases the ratio of progesterone to oestrogen by balancing excess oestrogen.
Don't take any herbs while you are using drug treatments or going through assisted conception (such as IVF), unless prescribed by a qualified practitioner.
Caution
You should not take any of the above herbs if you are taking, The Pill, Fertillity drugs, HRT or any other hormonal treatment or other medication unless they are recommended by a registered, experienced practitioner.
I suggest that you follow this four-month plan and do not try to conceive within that time. Why? Because when you follow the plan, your fertility will begin to increase. Everything needs to be working at optimum level before you conceive, both to prevent a miscarriage, and to give you the best possible chance of having a healthy baby.If you can think it........it will happen0 -
