Hi everyone - I may be a newbie but I really do appreciate and learn a lot from everyone's comments on this thread so I do hope everyone decides to stay, but I also know how hard it can be to read (albeit unintentionally) hurtful words on a screen while sitting alone, so everyone must do what makes them happiest :)

Anyway. Second day of basal temperature taking today, forgot to take it while I was still in bed so it's dropped 1 degree - not surprising though, it was freezing in the toilet! I rushed back to bed as soon as I realised but no joy. I'll take it again tomorrow and probably ignore todays reading.

Good luck with everything today everyone, and congrats to GFH! x

    Hi Lillian,

I've been BBT for nearly 7 months now and I would advise not ignoring it (as in discarding). I'm not sure what you're using (i.e. MMC or FF) but I know on FF theres a box where you can just add a note. Don't discard the reading until much later in your cycle if you really have to.

You'll soon get to know which readings you can discard, but never discard them because it makes your chart look better. That won't help you learn from the patterns that form.

It will make sense after a while, I promise. Hopefully you won't have to be using it that long tho!

My morning routines a pain in the !!! now. I get no lie ins - ever! My alarm goes off at 7am every morning, then I take my temp, then check my Fertility Monitor, then go POAS. Then I can get my cuppa and get showered! This baby (when it eventually comes along) will have a lot to answer for lol.

In a bid to save my own sanity (and purse strings) I refuse to test until at least 4 days after AF due date and will be nagging you all to follow suit < Insert Evil Laugh Smilie > and on that happy note can I please be added to the test list for Sunday 14th March

Love you all and love reading everyones posts - but you have to forgive me cos i'm really rubbish at remembering names and details - Honest really really bad, so not very good at replying :o

OV sticks arrived today :j - nothing else to report :D hope everyone is OK, I have no objections to happy/sad/ranty posts warped as it may seem, it makes me feel like I'm not so alone
  • Everyone in my immediate office knows that I suffered a MC 2 weeks ago, yet 6 of them have all just stood around loudly laughing and talking about their kids/babies/maternity leave/joys of parenthood etc with me slinking in my corner trying really hard not to listen or get upset :(

Ok so people have the right to talk about what they want and why should my personal problems make a difference to anyone else's life, but....I dunno..it just seems more than a bit insensitive.

I think if I knew there was someone in the room who'd been through it, I'd steer the conversation away and be a bit more mindful...

    sigh.

I agree MV, that's awful. A friend of mine that I work with lost her husband at the age of 29 a few years ago, she deals with updating records of customers that are deceased quite a lot and I still hate bringing the work-related subject up for fear of upsetting her.

    Hello ladies,
Think I've upset DH cos I want to STD before he goes to work this afternoon.
 STD??...I hope that should be DTD! ;)

I just wanted to say that I'm as guilty as anyone at testing early but IMO, if I want to test early, thats my business! We dont know people circumstances or even how much they've spent on the tests. I'd rather risk 'wasting' one of my 10p eBay specials and possibly find out a day earlier than not. Also, those that want to test later...thats their business. As long as we still advise people that it isn't really the right thing to do and point them in the direction of the bargain tests then its still MSE.

Anyway, thanks for your post Legs...you're as eloquent as ever!

Quaver, where have you gone? Please come back. I love your enthusiasm, its infectious and I'm missing it! :)
  • Yes I was wondering where Quaver was...I hope she hasn't been upset and scared off :(

Lol Murray - yes that should read dtd :rotfl: Hope i dont have an std lol. Testing early or late is a personal preference. Ive always tested early, so this month, im going to test the day after AF is due if she doesnt show. I'll amaze myself if i hold out that far!

Sk - Hi honey. How are you? We don't hear enough from you. Hows things your end? Hows the job going?

MV - That is really insensitive. Are your colleagues mostly male - we all know how much of a pea head they can have at times

Lildevil - :j for the ov sticks. When are you going to start?

GTS - :T for CD1 and cycle getting back to normal. Fingers crossed x

 Perdi and Retro. Nice to see you. Keep us updated with your ttc news :)

Hi Tinks - its good you've had a clear over with hubby. Sometimes its good to have an argument to clear the air and start afresh. Good luck hon :A

I cant scroll down any more, so apologies if Ive missed anyone.

CD12 for me and no positive o opk, but hopefully that should arrive tomorrow. Was surfing last night and was reading about how hot baths are not recommended for men and their swimmers whilst ttc  DH loves scorching hot baths, so i offered to run it today and did it a lot cooler ;)

Hugs and sticky baby dust to all x
