MERFE I'm ok thanks.
I stepped out of the thread not because of cliqes or ss'ing, just simply because I was bored to be perfectly honest! Just bored of going through the same old stuff month after month, I felt although I may have knowledge and experience that more newbies could benefit from, I'd already said it before and there were others who now knew it and could impart it on my behalf! So as the old saying goes "It's not you it's me!" springs to mind! :rotfl:
Anyway I'll no doubt continue to lurk and pop in from time to time if I've anything worthwhile to add to the mix!0 -
Well I was going to post my tuppence too, but TwiceasNice, took the words out of my mouth (and improved them somewhat too)!
Please, no one feel like they need to leave, I can assure you that no one wants that. Those that have posted with concerns have deliberated (is that the word) before doing so....which is why when one says something it all comes out and can feel like an attack...which is not what it is meant to be - I promise!
This seems to happen every few months on here - perhaps we need to voice concerns more prompty in future?
Feelings after just a few months TTC are very different to after many months, but that doesn't mean that either is wrong or right.
Oh....and congrats to GFH :T:j:beer::j:TProud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
I think there's many that have been guilty at some stage or another so really wasn't intended on being personal to anyone.
Hi guys,
To wade in with my size 7's i have to say I read this post religiously every day but since joining over xmas I was reluctant to post as it did seem 'clicky'. I know most here have got to know each other quite well but it took a few posts from me before i started any banter with others and stated to feel accepted. Newbies have to persevere and force their way in I think. Ladylegs - I for one LOVE your posts, they make me giggle throughout the day so please don't go.
Becs - can I ask what you feel others have been guilty of? I know a few of you say you are unsure about what direction the thread is going but to us newbies we don't know what direction it should be going in. Maybe we can make an effort to change things to suit everyone?
I for one feel we are all TTCing, however long we've been here and the experience and knowledge of those that have been here for a while is invaluble. I had no idea about EWCM or MMC before coming here and cannot thank you guys enough for sharing information like this. When AF's do grab us there's always someone here to offer a cyber hug which is surely what a forum of this nature is built for.
Anyway, I'm staying and will continue to post and offer support to others. I struggle to find the right words when people are down but I do try and would rather not post if I think I may come across as insensitive. I'm sorry if I've ever upset anyone but there really is no-one in RL I can be this honest and detailed with so I'm sorry but you're stuck with me...xxx0 -
And congrats GFH.......worthy of a seperate post.:beer:
Here's to a happy and healthy 8 months....xxxxx0 -
Grrrr...OH is flicking...and there is a prog on called something like 'leaving home at 8' about parents sending kids off to boarding school.
The woman who was just on seemed like she didn't love her little girl at all and in my eyes was treating her like a petOk, i've reached the stage of shouting at the tele!
Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Twinklie and fellow oldies, it's great to see you pop up here and wade into the debate. I have to say I have been feeling somewhat similar of late. There's been a big influx since the new year and new thread and also it's been moving just way to fast to keep up.
Also, as you say when your a few months down the line it starts to feel somewhat different as the highs and lows of each month mellow out. I tend to set myself up for failure - although I can honestly say even from day 1 TTC I told myself I'd be very MS and not even purchase a pregnancy test until I was at least one week late - and that I've stuck too. I'm not leaving here just yet, but these days I find myself lurking more on the TTC+12 board.
I hope I'm not being unkind to newbies and you are very much needed to keep the board alive, just please remember we're not all in the same place as you.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Encouraging newer members to symptom spot, test early and generally get too excited rather than keepinga bit of reality around. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with PMA but I feel the thread in recent months has gone to the extreme of convincing some of the less knowledgable members that they are pg simply because they dtd at ov and their boobs are sore! I've had 3 year of ups ,downs and general plodding along with it and I can honestly say this does not benefit anyone and can only lead to more pain and disappointment in the long run.0 -

Surely that has to work both ways?
