i feel a little lost now
...i liked this thread because i liked the advice given by the 'oldies' and 'newbies' didnt seem to be given the cold shoulder (like on alot of other forums ive been on in the past)
we are never going to agree with everything, everyone says but themn if we all felt the same and thought the same life would be a very boring place.
i know how heart breaking it is for the people who have been TTC for a while...and how exciting it is for newbies who are in their first month or 2 and sometimes they will each rub each other up the wrong way.
at the end of the day we are all in the same boat...some admittedly have been sailing a lot longer, hit iceburgs and some have only just got their water wings.
some of us will take longer, some will be surprisingly and occasionly upsettingly quickly...but again if we were all the same life could get pretty boring
i may seem to be waffling....i just feel we all have our place in the grand scheme of things...'oldies' for their knowledge and wisdom...encouraging words....'newbies for their enthusiam which can sometime ignite the enthusiasim of others...its seems sucha shame to argue over something that we have absolute no control over (TTC) i mean not the arguing.
i just wish everyone happy and healthy lives...and for them to get what they want. xx0 -
well i have been reading back through people comments on here and i think its all been blown way out of preportion (sp!) This is a forum for people TTC not a school playground, we are all adults on here and i think some people need to think before they type, the majority of the ladies in here are people who have suffered MC's or have been TTC for ages and come on here for support, I for one didnt want to tell anyone in real life i was TTC and found this thread very very helpfull,, i really think we need to concentate on the subject matter,TTC !
And lolly said we are all in the same boat and wether its your 1st cycle of 20th cycle we should all pull together and be there for one another, wether its SS'ing along with you or telling you to POAS coz your 2 or 3 days late, its what we do !!
Anyone for a dodgy group hug to get the mojo in the group back :grouphug:0 -

Oooh, let me join in the dodgy group hug. Oh it's disappeared from the list! Have some spreading the love smiley instead...:smileyhea
Let's make love and peace...not war
On a ttc front, I normally love a nice bath of an evening. But I was thinking, is it still ok whilst ttc, esp in your ov period. I mean, can water get "up there". Silly question I know!0 -
i just copy paste the dodgy group hug :grouphug:
i think you'll be fine...im sure the water wont get up there
i always like to have a bath and be clean before DTD ...yes that makes spontinaity difficult lol....but i still managed to conceive 2 DS
still no AF here...i keep getting stomach cramps but nothing happening....i am now a week past due
its typical just recently AF has been regular or even too close together but at least she was happening lol...now when i want her to be here on time (or preferably not at all and me be PG) she isnt coming hmmmm.
mother nature is one mean !!!!! sometimes0 -
Yes, I prefer to have a shower or bath before dtd, but we always do it during the day as DH works nights. I then have a nice bath in the evening to relax. But since I've been in my fertile stage this week, I'm too nervous to take a bath and its preying on my mind! Silly, I know.
Sorry to hear your body is being a cow Lolly. Remind me, how long are your cycles usually? I hope one or the other turns up for you soon!
I think Ive been having ov cramps this afternoon/evening. Although they are very slight as always. I hope so, because it would mean we have been BD'ing at the right time. Told DH he has 2 more days and then he can relax! Wea re quite lazy really0 -
my cyles tend to be all over the place...ive always been irregular...but sayiong that before i was PG with ds2 i was fairly regular every 3 months lol...i had 4 periods a year and i had AF in the jan got preg in the march lol.
i used to know when i was OVing because of CM but now i have no idea as even that changes week by week....i just feel like my bosuy is playing tricks on me...maybe i should just settle with the 2 but i know thats not what we want
we too are a bit lazy with our BDing we do it every otherday sort of mid cycle...when theyre a bit more regular that is...or we just do it when we feel like it lol.
i really wouldnt worry about the bath...the water cant go anywhere...and plus once youve DTD keep your knees up with OH pillow under your bum (obviously dont use your own pillow incase of spillage) that will get the little swimmers headed the right way so anything the water washes away will just be left overs
sorry TMI alert there!

Can I ask a TMI question?
When it was removed on Tuesday I bled a lot (I dont recall bleeding much when my last one was removed to be changed) and it was fresh red blood.
Wednesday I didnt bleed at all.
Yesterday I started bleeding again and this time its more brown old AF type blood.
Could it be AF - do I start to count?
I didnt bleed at all with the mirena but did get sore boobs once a month which I put down to AF symptoms - based on that I guestimated my cycle which would make today CD21.
Help me - I'm keffudled - :rotfl:
You need a medic for this one, but logically, if you can theoretically get preg the day it is removed, it could be AF.Who the hell do you think you are saying oldies should have the courtesy to back off when the newbies take over the thread? Who are you to come in here and after 5 minutes think you a) have the right to take over and b) expect us all to fall out of your way so you can do it.
In a minute, we will have a board guide come over to remind us that this is Martin's thread, and not the property of the newbies, or the old guard, or anyone in between.
eta sorry to perpetuate the row. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Thanks Lolly. Lol, actually I did that today with the pillow. Lay there for an hour afterwards, not moving an inch lol. I'll prob got to bed soon - so will contemplate the bath tomorrow!
I suppose when you are not TTC, having 4 AFs a year must be a bonus, but obv when TTC you want to know what stage of your cycle you are at. Prob best to do what you are already doing. BD every 2-3 days and just keep an eye out for any changes, and then hopefully you'll get a BFP or AF (hopefully the BFP! )
Does anyone watch the baby programs on TV? I cannot stop watching the Portland Babies and New Parents at the mo. Have to switch over if DH comes in the room else he thinks I am obsessed. Moi :eek:0 -
Hi GFH
Have you used the second test yet?0
