@sammy_girl, not started watching tv programmes. I know nothing about pregnancy and babies really. I've never grown up around babies. Only one of my friends has had a baby and she doesn't live in the country! I was tempted to watch that one born every minute programme, but I think it might put me off. The giving birth bit scares me. I'm so glad I'm ready start a family, I was getting really worried because I hoped to start trying at 28/29, but despite the painful sex issues, I wasn't ready.

@kindofagilr - you were here the last time I was here! I see you are due very soon! Congratulations!

@qquaver - do you have regular cycles?

Was surfing last night and was reading about how hot baths are not recommended for men and their swimmers whilst ttc :eek: DH loves scorching hot baths, so i offered to run it today and did it a lot cooler

I read this too OH has hot baths everyday and I told him about that and now he's having showers :A

@MV - sorry about your insensitive colleagues. I forget how women can be - they just don't think sometimes (I work with 95% men).

I seemed to have missed the part where GFH got the bfp Congrats GFH!

We DTD again last night. It was sore. Does it get any easier? How can I make it pleasurable for me? I'm also struggling to make him come, it's hard work. I'm sure he's holding out on me cos he's enjoying it (or I'm rubbish) Sorry if that's TMI.

Nope.. I like to have interesting cycles (not really, this is sarcastic comment:p).

Gizmodo I dont know how to answer your questions sorry, I think it can be different for everyone and vary for the same person but with different partners. Dont expect too much of yourself, you have obviously already overcome alot to get this far.

Look up Preseed or Zestica...it might help and it is TTC friendly

I couldn't go without saying how unfairly I think Legs has been treated. In the last month or so Legs has proved that she is kind, compassionate, welcoming and funny and I really think this thread would be all the poorer without her posting as regularly. It isn't fair the way her post has been taken to pieces and misconstrued. Lets face it, some pretty hurtful things have been said about Newbies too in the last few nights and I'm sure I wasn't the only one to take offence! I haven't picked up on it because as far as I'm concerned we are all entitled to our own opinions. A bit of tollerance wouldn't go a miss...(perhaps we need to add a dose of tollerance and patience to the folic acid!)

Legs, I hope you stick around - I for one would miss you and your posts!

Gizmodo - You're like me. Ive never really been around babies much. Only 2 f my friends have babies that were born pretty much at the same time. So I'm slowly getting used to them! I enjoy watching the TV shows as I always think its best to be prepared for all eventualities! I can not get DH into a shower! He much prefers having a bath. I have to have a shower in the morning to wake me up and a bath at night to help me sleep! Re DTD, I would say try a lubricant if it is getting too sore. But not KY Jelly as I don't think thats very sperm friendly. Preseed is a good idea as it mimics EWCM

Murray - I hope Ladylegs comes back too. Along with all the other TTC'ers who have decided to take time out. But its up to each individual how they want to proceed. All we can do is be supportive to one and all if and when they do decide to return.


My dog is acting really strange. He keeps wanting to lick my belly. He's only been like this last night and today. I keep having to push him away. Very random as he's not normally a licker (unless there's spilt food involved!). So either he's got a futuristic second sense that something is there, or Ive just got a smelly belly button I do wash, honest

CD13 for me. Waiting for DH to wake up so we can DTD before he goes to work. Looking forward to Valentine's Day tomorrow. We're going to spend the day in Covent Garden. Anyone else have plans for V Day?

Welcome to Perdi & Gizmodo:D As you can see it's certainly a madhouse but any questions you have will be answered by someone here and if it gets overlooked don't stress about it just re-post until you get heard;) It gets so busy sometimes that its easy for people who know the answer to miss the question IYSWIM(btw all abbreviations are on 1st page;)) And theres no such thing as TMI either..although be warned,, it can get gross:rotfl:Oh and perdi everyone in life has neuroticness(couldn't spell the proper word!) of some degree...I too am an anxious person and have to try and do things without thinking about it otherwise I'd never get anything done:o Took me over an hour to talk myself into driving DHs car this morning, I was so nervous and all becasue it wasn't my car!!! Dh couldn't give a toss either which makes it all the more stupid! Bets thing about online is if you do do a 'faux pas' then at least noone can see you go bright red;):D Good luck in your journey both of you and hopefully you both take the direct route;) personally...I'm on the scenic route:)

Oh and I think it was you that said about programmes about babies....I love em!!!! Anything baby/family related, I'm on it so fast its mental...DH thinks the remote breask every other day:rotfl:I love anything like that, unfortunately DH hates them but I make him watch the birth ones coz when it does happen for us the last thing I want is to be worrying about him while I'm pushing a melon out my Hoohah:eek::rotfl:And yes D is fully aware of my obsession:D Luckily its not a new one so he can't say I'm pressuring him by watching them:p
Phunkles, we're also supposed to be 'seeing how it goes' ie not preventing but not trying. went really well for the 1st month but after that I got impatient(I hate waiting for things)! so since then I've been checking cm on and off and also tracking ym days symptoms on MMC makes me feel like I'm doing something without actually doing anything IYSWIM probably doesn't make sense but I thought I'd at least try and articulate it:o:rotfl:

Dusty my DH is exactly the same with presents happened at xmas, we weren't supposed to get each other anything but I got him a 'Wheres stig' book off t'internet using a voucher I had, I also told him I'd got him a cheap pressie using voucher etc etc....he got me a fricking Spa day at the cost of £70 and then proceeded to tell everyone what I'd got him:eek: They all thought I was mean:( Until I pointed out what I do for him on a daily basis and that he actually got a better deal than me:p Luckily it doesnt matter if I'm right or wrong MIL will always side with me anyway:rotfl:
