I totally forgot about the differences in electricity! I used my straighteners with no problems at all in my NY hotel!

Looking for some advice, I want to buy the 3 day NY pass and it's currently on offer with 20% off ending today, is this a deal that's usually on/how late would you leave buying it? (Going in May)

Also, looking at the price comparisons, it seems worth it for what we want to do, but is it truly worth buying?

Finally, we want to go to a show, are we better off buying the tickets in NY? Looking to see Pretty Woman :D

Thanks, you've posted some really helpful tips there.
May i ask, did you book it as a package or DIY hotel and flights?
can you recommend how you booked it?
    many thanks,
    curly.

Hi. I did a DIY job.

The hotel and flights were not packaged. I booked each element separately after researching prices and the hotels to try find one that offered separate beds for my son and I.

I used GoToGate for the flight and booking.com for the hotel.

  • Hi! i was wondering if you could all help me..

is there ANYWHERE in Manhattan that offers a surcharge free ATM? I spent a while around my last trip looking around for this and then gave up and thought that saving the three dollars was not worth it.

i know its not a lot but i resent having to pay for it when, after you get out of Manhattan, its fairly easy to find a place to do this.

TD Bank. The one I use most is by the subway station at 50th Street and Broadway but they are all over the city.
  • A handful of McDonald's stores have ATM facilities charging $0.99c.

But google maps will help you find a TD Bank.
