I'm off to NYC in the summer and I noticed at the beginning of this thread something called The Nobjocki Swallow - a 10 bar pub crawl around Manhattan.
Has anyone on here actually done it and is it something that could feasibly be done in an afternoon and evening ?
Thanks.0 -
After successfull managing to avoid all things New York, for the 20+ years that I've been travelling to America, this year I'm spending the last 2 and a bit days (dragged kicking and screaming and very much against my will) in the NY area.*** I have had one small victory so far, and we're staying in NJ, not NY.
So now I've got the pleasure of picking up on the good advice, thoughts and experiences of the people who have previously posted on this thread.
Murph
When I was looking at room rates, I thought "what are people talkking about when they say that NY is expensive -- then I realised they were room rates per night NOT per week
*** I'll love it. It's just going to take time to adjust.0 -

Murph, it's one of those times when you're just going to have to 'go with the flow'
When we went it was for our daughter, as a post-GCSE reward, and I fully expected to hate it as much as I do most other cities. Actually, it was fine and I did enjoy it, but 3 days was plenty for me and we did NYC in the first few days so I had the rest of the trip to look forward to.

I just got back yesterday after 5 days and could have easily spent another 5 more there. Actually I'd move there in a heartbeat if it were possible.0
