Actually, the UK Charges DOES come in the box, so it's a £40 saving. Is it worth it?

Yep, I think thats a good saving, I have a few iDevice chargers around the house so no need to purchase one, so the saving of over £50 is a good one for me, I hope.

Weird. I've bought every single version of the iPhone so far and all have come with cable, charger and headphones. Anyway. Totally off topic this is.
  • Ok, before I go ahead and confirm my booking with 'The View restaurant' for Thanksgiving evening meal do you guys have any other recommendations as I have to pay in advance so want to make sure I've made a good choice.

Depends what you're going for. Food is normally described as mediocre at best. Cocktails and the view is what is normally recommended.

Good food very important, and an experience not to forget ( for the right reasons :D), obviously it seems a lot of places are closed on Thanksgiving evening, so want to get it right.

You'll get the experience, it is a revolving restaurant. Food, there is much better around, probably at lower prices.

I just laughed at another review where someone said the view was often obstructed by other tall buildings. :rotfl:

That's the thing I'm not impressed with is the paying in advance. If they're doing a normal thanksgiving dinner and that is what you're after then maybe it works well.

I haven't been around NYC at thanksgiving so can't really recommend other restaurants that may do the same, I could go through ones in Williamsburg, because I hang out there, but it's been years since I've done restaurants in Manhattan.. sorry if i've put you in two minds, I just would rather you really be 100% and prepared, than disappointed if it didn't turn out what you wanted.

  • Hi Chrispy, we are also in a similar "predicament" with regards to finding an amazing place for Xmas lunch/dinner.

We have found restaurants with decent reviews on TA, but need to start making a decision soon.

    So far the list is:

One if by Land Two if By Sea
(has TA certificate of excellence 2013), but some of the reviews are a bit hit and miss, the place definitely looks amazing on the inside according to the pix)

A Voce Columbus in the Time Warner Center
Looks great and has better TA reviews vs it's counterpart on Madison Ave

Ai Fiori in the Langham Hotel
I think it's ranked the highest out of of these three on TA.

Just thought I'd share which ones we have liked so far to get on our Xmas list.

Still need to add to it though :) and then make a final decision!
