Booked to go for the last week of June, managed to get a flight from Birmingham for £360 so pretty happy with that as it saves the trek to London from the Midlands.
Has anyone done the Washington Day tour from nyc hrough Viator? Wouldn't mind a quick stop there to see the main sights.0 -
DC has as much to see as NYC (if not more) so I wouldn't bother with a day tour.0

Agree with above, too much in DC just to go one day, I was there 3 days and found that not near enough.0

Also agree. If you've got a week maybe split it half and half between NY & DC?Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0

I took over a thousand photos during my trip.
Here are a fraction of them that I have edited.

I've done a day trip to DC, just to do a self guided walking tour. There was plenty to see, and it was great weather too. If you're really into Museums, you really do need more than 1 day, but I just went for a 1 day photo spree, and something different than NYC.
4 nights in each would be a good split, and you'd get a great feel for both of the cities.
£360 is an absolute bargain for a flight... who is that with?

Can I please just double check about an airport transfer from newark to manhattan (Chinatown) - from a previous post, I was advised the best way is:
Air train to NJ Transit station
Train to Penn station
Taxi to hotel.
How much does each step cost, and how long does each take? Presumably, the above steps in reverse is the best way when returning to the airport?
How does the above compare to taking the Newark Liberty Airport express bus?0
