Some decent discounts on Yotel at the minute using code CYBER, think it expires very soon though.

Just used it to bag 6 nights in an executive view room in july for £780

Hello there, I am new to the site and a bit list. I too have tried looking through the whole 275 pages and am ending up a bit lost!
We ( a late 20s couple) have booked some flights to NYC for my birthday! Its pur first time. They are from 27th March to 1st April (night flight). Also so far I have booked some tickets to see the Knicks play at Madison square gardens after seeing a recommendation here!

I have a couple questions if some one can help- I was going to use Priceline to book the hotel - ( mymax budget is £200 a night for the 5nights) and wondered if because it is Easter weekend if it is a bad idea? If its a good idea- should I leave it closer or do it now?

I love modern art and had planned on visiting Moma but people keep tellin me the met is the place to go? Any thoughts on this?

    Thank you in advance!

I personally don't like Priceline. There are some really poor, 4* hotels. The * rating in the US goes on ameneties, not luxury level, so you could have a restaurant, room service, and mini bar, and it's a 4* but it could be awful compared to a 2* that doesn't have a restaurant or room service, but be the most luxurious hotel.

Look on quikbook and see if anything falls into your price range. At £200 a night, that means you have a budget of $275 ish per night before taxes. Don't discount staying in Long Island City, or Williamsburg, Brooklyn, both of which have affordable hotels that are really nice.

I've done a quik look on quikbook (see what I did there???),

St. Giles The Court New York
    6 Columbus Circle - A Thompson Hotel
    Ace Hotel
    King & Grove New York
SECRET SALE - Deluxe Meatpacking District
    Gild Hall- A Thompson Hotel
Cosmopolitan Hotel - Tribeca (I've stayed here - it's nice)
Hotel on Rivington (Again, as before - AWESOME!!)
    The Standard East Village

I've stopped looking at this point as you have PLENTY of choice in Manhattan.

All the above hotels are well within your price range, and that Secret Sale one, I can probably guess if you want me to. It's much better to know where you're staying than risk a Priceline and not be happy with what you've got, especially for a 5 night stay as it's not refundable, and they only guarantee a double bed, not Queen or King sized.

is this booking through the Yotel site itself? ive just tried a search for May 11th-15th but it didnt seem to work.

Been waiting for a good deal on the Yotel hotel it always apears on travelzoo or groupon - all ending end of march at the moment so hoping if hold on a little longer it may be avaialble for the dates i want as this is the hotel we really want to stay in.

Such a cool hotel, loved my stay there. I see now though they are charging extra for "executive view rooms". Luckily when I went all I had to do was bung the lady at reception a few dollars to get a better view. If you can find a good deal I recommend it!

Little tip. If you book a normal view room don't check in using the computers on the ground floor. You will be allocated the first room available. If you go to reception on level 4 you can ask for a room as high as possible, I believe this is up to the 21st Level.
What's gone will never come back. But it exists when you think of it ...

Sign up for Travel Zoo USA updates too, they have different offers to the UK site, I managed to get 6 nights in Yotel for $950 with a view at the end of March over the Easter weekend, also like their FB page they post offers on that too!

Discounts always run til the end of March as it is low season. You're wanting a hotel in High Season, and wanting discount, it's probably not going to happen as easily. If you wait March, you may see some discounts appear, but not as generous.

FAO anyone who's used StubHub in the past.

I'm looking at buying Knicks tickets, and I've pinpointed the ones that I want. I only need 2, but the quantity for sale is 3. How, if I can, am I able to change so I can only get 2 tickets, out of the 3?

    Thanks.

You can't. People will sell tickets, and when they do, they have options like - sell as a set, sell pairs, sell singles, or don't leave a single ticket. I think either the first or last option has been set.

You could buy all three, then relist the one and hope it sells, but if the option isn't there for two, you cannot buy two.
