I am thinking of bringing our son with us to NY and then flying down to Orlando with him. We are booked to go see American Idiot on Broadway with Billie Joe as lead and for this we would need a babysitting service. Does anyone know of any or any hotels that are good, we usually stay in Marriott hotels, but whist some seem to say they offer the service I can't find any info actually about it!

Thanks in advance. Oh I did search the thread but no info on babysitting came up.

The London NYC Gordon FFFn Ramsays gaff always gets good reviews although ive never been . Also Hells Kitchen NYC is supposed to be a top Tex/Mexican foodie and has been reccommended to us by a well travelled Tex/Mex not yet tried either yet . Alot depends what you want as some places are more famous for their views than food (anywhere)

Hi there, as well as the 'secret sale' on Quikbook for the Mela Hotel, there's also one a bit further down for $209 per night, where they've accidentally left the number of rooms - 155 and floors - 32 and the year it was built - 2010 in the information, whilst I doubt I'd spend the extra $50 per night, has anyone any idea what hotel it is please? http://www.quikbook.com/getprofile.asp?Code=4976 the description is 'deluxe Times Square' (whereas the Mela is 'deluxe boutique Times Square')

It appears to be The Distrikt if this helps anyone, anyone have any experience between this and the Mela please? http://www.quikbook.com/GetProfile.asp?Code=4710&CMP=KNC-FTMSN

Hmmmm, in case it helps anyone else, I have been looking through reviews and description, especially on Oyster http://www.oyster.com/new-york-city/hotels/hotel-mela/ and http://www.oyster.com/new-york-city/hotels/distrikt/ and I am leaning towards The Mela (at $50 less pn!!), it appears to be a nicer location and closer to Times Square, but still very quiet (relative to its central location I assume).
  • Hey guys just booked a flight for New york (20-30th June) Now there's 3 of us which is an awkward number. Anyone know of any hotels in Manhattan that are £50 or less a night. we've seen a few but you know never stop looking till youve booked. Might find somewhere better/cheaper. Any help i'll really appreciate it.

    £50? Is that each?

Unfortunately I can't help (sorry), but to assist others who maybe can (sorry to sound presumptious), perhaps you could elaborate on your situation/requirements? Are you 3 adults, a family, a couple and a friend (or something more exotic ;) )

Any areas you were hoping to stay in or to avoid?
