Hi All,
If anyone has requested a ticket to the Late show with David Letterman could you please let me know if your request was successful. I have just been on their website and it says .....
.) A ticket will only be issued to those individuals who correctly answer a random trivia question about the show. Each person answering their question correctly will be entitled to two tickets provided that the guest's name is submitted on the entry form.
So i am now thinking even if i do get picked what sort of random question about the show will i get asked? Has anyone any idea?
Many thanks All

random
–adjective
1. proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern
Think the theory is to have fans of the show attend the tapeing's so unless you know something about the show you may be on to a loserLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

Wow - thanks for that really appreciate it. Take on board your suggestions and will be amending accordingly.
With regard food - I just want to experience good New York food that is not too touristy
Brooklyn Bridge is kinda different from other bridges. It might be work have a look before you discount the option totally. You're on a walk way up above the traffic, it's not enclosed. Just don't get in the way of the cyclists.
Good NYC food? Get out an about, eat in the village, soho, brooklyn, 9th Avenue, tribeca, chinatown. All the areas where locals live and play are the better places to get great non touristy food. Walk into a busy deli a lunchtime, grab a tray, fill it with noodles, pasta, salad, chicken, and pay for it by weight. Plonk yourself down on a nearby bench or in a park, and just watch the world go by. In an evening, just mosey on up to the bar, grab a stool, a beer, a menu, and watch the game. That's what locals do, and you'll feel right at home!

Currently in NYC! If anyone is coming over this week then don't forget your thermals, it's BITTERLY cold!!
(at the very least a thick hat, gloves and scarf!)

At 8:26pm in NYC, there are more interesting things to do than to tell us that it's cold. I know it's ingrained into us brits as children that we must always talk about the weather, but GET OUTTA THE HOTEL AND INTO THE CITY... I got less than 1 week to go (1st March)
Enjoy your holiday!

I personally would do the helicopter ride. It is an experience and we loved it. It was not too expensive - we paid about £30 for 20 minutes with Liberty Helicopters which I dont think was too bad.0 -

Getting Married in New York on 26th April ..... super excited. Only thing not arranged is where to have dinner after. I have looked into a few places but can't decide maybe you could recommend. We would, ideally, like somewhere with a view or at least somewhere special. No real budget. I am not a really fussy eater however am not a huge seafood fan.....suggestions/recommendations would be great.
Oh and getting married in Central Park, but we are happy to travel
Thanks guys

Just thought I would add this incase it can help someone else in the future.
Basically we are in New York for a few days before going on a cruise from Cape Liberty in New Jersey. My problem was that on our return our cruise docks at 7am (meaning we'll be off it 10am latest), however, our flight doesn't leave Newark until 7.45pm and we can't check our luggage in until 4 hours before. Now I spent about 10 hours in Newark airport last year thanks to the ash cloud that I'd really hope to never spend that amount of time in an airport again!
Anyway, I asked over on the TA New Jersey forum and someone pointed me in the direction of NBS Storage and Delivery (mentioned here - http://www.layoverguide.com/2010/02/layover-in-newark-new-jersey.html). They are only available if you are flying Continental (which I am)! I've just called them and it's $10 for your first bag, $5 for any bag thereafter. So for my party of 4 it's only going to cost $20 to store my bags for say 8-10 hours. They are located in Terminal 3 between carousels 1 and 2, they don't have a website but you can call them on (908) 933-0503.
Hope this might help someone elseNow I need to work out what we're going to do with our spare hours!
