Hi everyone
I just want to say that I am going to NY for my OH surprise 50 birthday treat on 13th Nov, and I have found this NY forum so helpful, in fact not sure what I would have done without it! I am in the process of working out my itinerary - which I will post soon for comments and feedback. I do just have a couple of questions to ask: What will the weather usually like in November? and flying into JFK about 1.30 pm, should I get a taxi or it is easy on a bus/subway? (staying very near Central Park).
Thanks in anticipation and will be back with itinerary very soon0 -

Weather can be quite unpredictable in november,so best to take lots of layers. Another tip is to check out times square earthcam before you go, and see what people are wearing. Still looks to be pretty mild there ATM,as lots of short sleeves about.
I would just stick to getting a cab to your hotel,so you're not lugging cases.:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Hi everyone!
Am heading to NYC for Xmas this year for a few days.
I have tried searching this thread for the answer but it is so long!
What is the best (and cheapest!) way to get from JFK to our Manhattan hotel? Have seen various companies online but don't know what the going rate should be?
Thanks!0 -
AFAIK taxi is around $45, or you can book a car through carmel for $40 plus toll (we didnt go the toll way). Alternatively the air train and then the subway would cost $7.25 per person.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
