westin is a great hotel in a great location but right on times square with the e-walk built in underneath the hotel Shulas restraunt is pricy but a treat the best steak house in USA BB Kings Blues Bar and Grill on block too higher the room better the view and you have constant beeps and woops from emergency vehicles etc all day and night but you honestly get used to it and i enjoyed the buzz of the area ,Can be too much for others -Rooms massive heavenly beds &cocktail bars. If youve looked at The Westin you already know its pricey and have raised the bar for the type of hotels just on location alone read on t/a see what they say . Enjoy NYC

Hi someone told me that if you fly BA they have their own immigration dept at JFK so you don't queue with the other airline passengers - does anyone know if this is right?

Also how long does it usually take you to get through JFK after coming off the plane? Are there any seats while you wait? Thanks.

Last time I went in June 07 it took about 40 mins from plane to transfer car.

sorry for the life of me i cannot remember i am more of a sit on luggage trolley by belt type of person and then straight to q for immigration desk so do not pay any attention to surroundings in airport really.

You will have to stand up and queue. Has never taken me very long at JFK so shouldnt be waiting too long.

There are no seats in JFk, well none last summer, we had to stand the whole time my poor mum was being interrogated! They want you to collect your bags and go! We were at Delta terminal though so excuse me if there are seats in the other terminals. It didn't take us that long to queue before they stopped my mum it depends how many flights land around the same time.

Hi, just contacted Delta to see if there would be personal tv screens on MAN - JFK next year and they said they would only be installed in every 3rd seat so we have to share it! Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Never heard of that at all? I flew Delta last April and had own TV on way out and, owing to change of plane, overhead TVs on way back. How can you share a TV with other people/strangers!! That sounds wrong to me

No seats at all and, as two planes landed together and some people had connecting flights, they got priority which meant a lovely 1 hour 30 minute wait! Finally got through immigration and just two lonely bags waiting to be picked up - they had taken them off the bag claim carosoul we had been so long!! Sure this doesnt happen all the time but the looks of the other posts on this issue
