Help! Sad kitty at my door :(

I used to have a mainly white tortie with the thickest, longest coat I've ever seen. Needless to say I thought she was the most beautiful cat I'd ever seen so I had to rehome her. I used to have to go over every stitch of clothing with sellotape every day before I could leave the house. But she was worth it0

Is there anything that works better than sellotape? I don't find it's that great (and I'm also too lazy to try and find it in the messy kitchen drawers - the rule is, if you open the messy drawer you have to sort it out, waiting for OH to slip up there
)
I know you can get those roller type things, not sure if they work though.
Sounds like a lovely cat BitterandTwisted. I love long haired cats, not sure my carpet could cope with one though lol0 -

We have dalmatians, which is plain evil as far as hiding hair goes. What makes it worse is that one is traditional black spots the other is the more unusual liver spots so absolutely nothing in the house is safe.Doesnt help that they both seem to think they are actually cats not dogs most of the time either.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I found that going over clothing with a clothes-brush first and then the sellotape afterwards worked best. I used to wind the tape over my hand like a sellotape mitten so then I could give any clothing a really good going over. One of the main things I learned very quickly was to get changed as soon as I got home from work and put on some old combats which I didn't care if they got covered in fluff.
The hard floors in my flat used to have pusscat-fluff blowing around like tumbleweed if I didn't give them a sweep nearly every day. It got worse when I rehomed a companion for her who was a really long-haired Maine Coon. I'm a glutton for punishment obviously and quite possibly deranged. They were darlings those two and I regret not a moment of their company or any of the aggro. RIP lovely Lettice and my sweet Little Girl. *sniff*0 -
LOL at the hardwood floors, clouds of fluff... now that's something I didn't consider!
I find Pumpkin fuzz on *everything*, just-done washing up, on the inside of my car door, gathered on my chair at work, attached to all pieces of velcro... still, I'd miss it if they weren't there0 -
Went to collect Guinness's casket
:A poor lil guy.. somehow it helps to know he's back here with us though, the house feels complete again. Of course blubbed like a little girl at the vet, had to escape through the back door lol.
Gonzo appears to be wandering far and wide today calling out for the laydee cats.. and when he dropped by for a bit more food, Pumpkin went berzerk and chased him right out. I do hope neutering will improve the situation.0 -
Clothes brush or if you don't have one, duct tape as it's bloody sticky and yanks almost anything off!** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

So soory for your loss,it's hard getting over the little furballs when they go.
I keep a strip of those sticky backed address labels in my S95 uniform shirt to help me get muck & fluff off my kit & beret.0 -

So glad you've got Guinness back home where he belongs. There's no shame in having a heart, especially where are darlings are concerned. It's what makes us human after all.
I suspect the reason why Pumpkin attacked The Gonz is because he's been scrapping with other entire males and perhaps has the scent of them and his intended lady-friends all over him so this might make The Gonz smell like an alien and strange cat to darling Pumps. Neutering should be on the near horizon for Mr Gonz. Perhaps once that has happened he'll be re-named The Gonz No Gonads.0 -
Well, you'll all be pleased to know that Dr Gonzo is at the vet today to have his bits off and he'll be microchipped and groomed as well. :T:T:T
So I guess after a month of untold drama and no news from any owners, we can offically say that Dr Gonzo has a home with us.. if he stops scrapping with Pumpkin and peeing in the bath that is!!x
