noticed your thread as we have got a 'visitor' - so sorry to read about guinness.. lost my old cat on the road, very sad!
not sure what to do with our visitor, been calling for a good while and we just give him some food.. wont let it in as have 3 cats already and dont really want another.. was planning to ask the vets / CPL for advice, hopefully they'll be more helpful than some have encountered on here..
he looks fierce here but was just miaowing for food.. isn't agressive with my cats and vice versa..
turned up today almost black.. feel so sorry for it.. wish people would care for their animals properly0 -
Hi guys,
Finally got some pics organised!
Here's da Gonz in all his hungry glory: (I think he wants out here .. :rotfl:)
Sporting his shiny new ID tag:
Meeting Pumpkin....
And a couple more of our boys, Pumpkin looking sad..
And our beloved little Guinness:
Gonzo's still doing well he's still obsessed with food, gulping down 3 packets of whiskers in a sitting... and I think he might be getting slightly round! hooray! He still disappears off for the day (although we kept him in today, too cold fuh cats), where he goes, nobody knows, but in the evening there he is again, sitting in his popup bin waiting for food :A
So the saga continues for now...0 -
Oooh now he is a pretty boy!
I see you've got him a tag, did you put a note inside it?
It does sound like he's going home during the day, but his owner doesn't seem to spot the tag? Unless he is a stray but has a lovely old lady feeding him in the day, he could be 2 timing you!!Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
Aaah Lovely! Pumkin looks like my cat Angel. I have four. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Awwww he's gorgeous, no wonder you couldn't turn him away! Keep up the good work xBe who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0

mich_city what are you going to do about that pretty white cat visitor of yours? Is it friendly enough for you to put a paper collar on it with your phone number to contact if puss has a home? If it turned up all black it may have lost its way.....0

That reminds me!
Mich_City - does that white cat have blue eyes? I ask because if he does he might well be deaf. I'd take him in if I was anywhere close enough - you're not in NIreland are you?
And as for Dr Gonzo (what a name!) he's lovely - so is Pumpkin and the angel Guiness.0 -
POAR little white visitor cat all alone and (possibly) deaf
:(:( there's so many cats going missing lately and it's the worst time of year to be without a home..
Mich, maybe you could provide some sort of shelter for him in the garden, if not a shed or garage, maybe even just a plastic storage crate covered in a bin bag and full of old blankets/towels, and definitely try the collar trick. If he's been with you a while, it might be time to start calling the local vets/RSPCA to register him found, maybe post his picture on AnimalSearch or the missing pets register, post some notes through doors in your area.. Then if nothing comes of that, I think it would be time to contact Cats Protection to find him a nice new home. Keep us posted!0 -
What colour eyes has the white cat got? IICR blue eyes are linked with deafness, white cats with other colour eyes are only as likely to be deaf as any other cat. If he is deaf he definitely needs to be found an indoor home before the road gets him. Lots of people pass over white cats in rescue tho.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

When Orbit died,I got a deaf white cat called Christmas, who had one blue & one green eye.
I had to give her back the next day as she wrecked my apt,but now I'm working,I'm going to sponsor her at the ASSISI for £20 a month.
Because she's deaf she'll be a long term resident.0
