Skipped to end of thread after a few pages, so apologies if this has already been mentioned, but at the end of the day, this seems to have been started because one person followed some advice to remove viruses/malware and its gone t^ts up.
However, there would have been no major problem if they had followed the advice in the sticky at the top of the forum to BACK UP before doing anything.......
If people blindly follow advice, but only partial advice, it is not the fault of the forum...[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
