    Morning All,

dellybelly - I cant notice any difference yet, maybe because I am still 6st overweight! I think its gonna take the 2st mark before I see any changes. I know things are shifting cause I have lost inches, just not enough for clothes to fit much differently yet.

consultanat31 the bike is a road one, I'd prefer a static one TBH but we dont have the room for it here.

lois lane thanks for the 2lb club.

Not mush ww been going on the last 2 days here, that time of the month, I really cant cope with having to point my food when all I want to do is be in bed:o. I will try to make more of an effort today though, promise!

Bought a lovely cookbook from the meeting last week so will make something yummy from that for tea.

    Well done to you all!!!!

Well dones to TallGirl for resisting the junk, jenpop for her loss even with celebrations this week, loopyloo for an excellent start, Rachel for a stonkingly good loss (musta been all those yak's dangly bits or whatever they were) and to cheeky for tiling a floor (god you must have a lot of energy!)!!

Does NearlyRich need a dose of cheeky's boot? I sure think i could do with one :o

My weigh in is tonight so i really hope i get a loss to get me back into it. Not sure i necessarily deserve a loss again after overeating shreddies all week :(

The Las Vegas date keeps changing which sucks (even though it's still dead exciting) which means i probably won't have loss much more before we go unless i really concentrate . Did i mention i'll be marrying the OH for in time for the move? It's mostly about visas :D but i really wanted to be slimmer by the time we do the ceremony (not that the ceremony is big - it'll be us and maybe one witness either here in a reg office or in vegas in a tacky chapel!).

I too, do not want to be a fat bride!! :(

Gosh. I'm whinging again. Sorry about that - don't know where the optimisim has gone. Fingers crossed that i've lost some weight this week.

You're all doing really well by the way - totally proud of you all!!

Put yesterday behind you and move on. Don't let one bad day roll into another. I had a cream bun in work yday (someone's bday) but I worked out the syn value - much to the amusement of my colleagues (17.5  ) but I ate all free food for the rest of the day to account for it. That was yesterday and today I have been as good as gold. Its tempting to let one bad day ruin your diet but it needn't ( gosh listen to me - move over consultant31, here comes consultant honey :rotfl: )

:rotfl: I have a little sticker on my 'puter which says " One bad day doesn't undo the whole diet, after all if you had one dead flower in a vase, you wouldn't throw the whole bunch away". It makes me feel there's always hope, even if you've had a really bad day. Just don't allow it to turn into a bad week/month/year!!

Tallgirl I think you did really well on your trip. It's never easy in the motorway services - it's always fat-laden food. The fact that you resisted most of the rubbish is a testament to your determination - well done!

Loopy-Loo What an excellent start to your slimming campaign:T

Cheekymole Hope the red wine (4½ syns per 125ml pub measure) worked on numbing the pain :rotfl: You're very brave tackling the tiling - I'd have a fit if I had to do it!!

Rachelmk Wow, excellent weight loss and having been away as well - you must have been very good :A

Have all the SWers got their new "Around the World" book from class? It looks really good with ideas for eating out and recipes for making some of the high syn stuff at home (sesame prawn toasts, mmmmm!)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

JenIttels congratulation on your marriage I hope you will have a fab day and don't worry too much about the weight loss. I got married 2 years ago and found I lost weight in the run up to the wedding without even trying. There is so much to organise and if you are moving as well that will add to the stress. I got married on a beach on Mauritius just the two of us, then we had a party in England for all our friends. My family however is Danish to we then went to Denmark and had a church blessing so I had 3 weddings in total.

What I wanted to say to you is don't forget to include your family. I know it is about the 2 of you (+ visa I guess) but I was really really glad I got to celebrate with my family too.

My good friends got married in Vegas with Elvis etc but they loved it and they were made to feel so special. Good luck I think I am rambling on too much.

Tallgirl: You did really well. I get low blood sugar too, and it makes feel like I could just eat anything in sight. Sushi and semi-skimmed milk aren't that bad.

Cheekymole: Well done with the tiling. Very impressive. I'm not even allowed to help with the painting at home. (am very, very clumsy).

JennIttels: It must be hard with the date changing on your move. Good luck with wedding weight loss.

Jenpop, Loopyloo, and Rachel: Well done on your losses.

I had a panic last night as I was falling asleep. I started thinking what have I done to lose weight this week? This kind of concern, for me, is a very good thing because I am queen of procrastination when it comes to weight loss. I meant to run on Tuesday and Wednesday (either day, told myself Tues that I would Wednesday and then didn't yesterday) but because of jeering incident haven't wanted to. Before my partner left for work, he asked what I was doing today and I went through my list. He kept saying and..., finally he just asked if I was going for a run today. Said yes, and I really must. I want to choose my wedding dress based that I like and not because it's the only one that fits. To that end, a woman who owns a wedding shop locally is retiring and has donated a bunch of new dresses to the salvation army charity shop in town. Guess where I'm going this morning?

    Take care. lisele

lisele another one getting married, congratulation I hope you find a lovely dress. I got a dressmaker I know to make my dress and she had to keep taking it in as I lost so much weight so make sure you think about that. I found the people in the wedding dress shops really horrid and I think your idea sounds much nicer.

WIth regards to your run I can understand you are not too keen to run but if you enjoy it don;t let those little s***bags stop you or they will have won. I can't run (totally flat feet) but I have been told it is a nice thing to do and it is really good for you.

I have a day of getting on top of paperwork before my Majorca trip on Sunday. Taking two clients out for lunch today but I will just have the parmaham salad so that should be fine if I can get a table booked. Guess I better get on with it and get of this site.

    Take care all

Tall Girl I know what you mean - I'm actually quite chuffed that my meeting at lunchtime has been put off until 3pm so I can have a "good" lunch and only have to worry about dinner this evening at a hotel with colleagues. Will try to limit booze too as my big boss is coming with me this time - an incentive to behave !

I'm visiting my mum this weekend in Wales and will hopefully be able to stick to the straight and narrow as she's permanently on a diet too (with many "breaks"!). She has mentioned Indian takeaway though - I'm a veggie and not sure what the syn values are for Indian type stuff. I like things like Chana Massala (chick pea curry thing) but don't know how bad that is. Anyone have any idea? If I did have that with plain bolied rice (is pilau rice OK on a green day?) would I be committing a mortal sin?
Any advice would be really appreciated - I usually just stuff myself with whatever I like so some control needs to be taken this time!

    Thanks
    Rachel

Rachel it sounds like you and I need to compare notes. I am quite new to this life on the road and in hotels and i am sure that is why I have put on 1st since I left my old office based job. I am quite lucky that nobady drinks at lucnhtime in my field but you are right dinner can be difficult.
With regards to your questions about veggie curry sorry I cannot help you never done WW or SW or anything like that but I find it facinating. I would personally try to eat less and maybe even leave things on the plate once you are full. Must get on with some work now....

    Hey guys,

Sorry to be a pest but I really need some advice. Here is my situation

    I am a girl, 5ft 6 and I weigh 14 stone.

Because everyone in my family is big boned, I have never really had a problem, I don't eat that bad so I just dealt with it.

However recently i went to my doctor with migraine problems and chest pains. I also have a history of heartattacks and diabetes in my family. My GP said that it is because of my weight. The nurse also said that I am obese. I would never have used that term to describe me, overweight yes, but not obese. I wear size 16/18 in clothing, and now I feel I need to do something.

I have always wanted to lose weight, i was picked on at school for, but because of my personality no one would say anything to me now but my mum. She always calls my fat and says I need to lose weight.

I have decided that I want to lose weight for myself no one else, so that my health will not suffer in the long run. In the past I have tried numerous diets, none of which have worked.

    Can anyone help me out.

I know I need to diet with exercise, but to be honest I can't really afford gym membership, it is too expensive where i live, but I like swimming, although I am conscious of being in a cossie....as for diets, or good foods to eat I need a lil help

Thanks so much in advance, and sorry for babbling on

    QT x
