Nice to read up on you all, I have been away on business staying at head office (4 hours away) and that is when I really pig out normally. I didn't this time and I feel really chuffed.
I drove up there early Monday morning, usually I would stop for a huge Latté and cake around 11. This time I bought a small Latté no cake but a healthy M&S sandwich (remembering Consultants 4% rule) to have for lunch later on. I also got some fruit which I ate when I got to the hotel as normally I would have had some crips or biscuits due to beeing bored.
For dinner I went to a new friends house started off with crisp and nachos but I only had 1 tiny piece which I picked up without even thinking about it so stopped immidiately. Normally I would have gone for it especially since dinner got delayed until 9pm. For Dinner we had a pasta dish but I didn't eat very much and it did not come in a cream sauce. For pudding fresh strawberry's and I passed on the cream. Had a small bit of cheese and biscuit which I didn’t feel too bad about. 2 small glasses of wine is very good for me.
Last night I had a chicken & mango salad, no dressing & no bread in the pub next door to where I stayed and cheese for pudding but didn’t eat it all. Again only 2 small glasses of wine.
Driving back today was nearly a disaster foodwise, left before lunch so needed to stop on the way. 1st service station had a Wimpy, Costa Coffee and another horrid food place. Did not get anything there and did not succumb to the chips as I would normally had done. My bloodsugar does get really low and by now it was nearly 3pm so I bought a pint of semi skimmed milk instead. Stopped and the nice M&S stop and bought a healthy sandwich (well only 4.8% fat) and some sushi.
You might think I have still been really bad but for me this is also about not eating junk all the time and resisting temptation. It is so easy to get tempted and when you are on the road it is double hard.
Anyway this is getting far too long and not very interesting so take care and well done to all of you. You are a real inspiration and without you I could not have resisted temptation these last 3 days.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi,
I'm a very happy bunny :j  :j
Went for my 1st weigh in back at WW last night and had lost 5.5lbs  i was so shocked i nearly fell off the scales :rotfl:
Now i know its mostly fluid in the 1st week & that a steady 1-2lbs a week is sensible but it felt soooo good
Anyway it's thanks to everyone posting here that i haven't cheated :T you're all fantasticeverytime i got any sort of temptation i'd just come & read all the posts with a cuppa & by the time i'd finished i either wasn't hungry anymore or was motivated enough to just not have anything.
Lois, i know i'm too late for this weeks chart but can you add my loss on to next weeks please
Well done to everyone else who's lost & maintained this week & good luck everyone for next week.
BFN.

Hi guys
Sorry I've been neglecting you all this week since getting back from hols but with DD at the grandparents and the dog too, OH on nights I've been a free woman and guess what I've been doing - you'll never guess - I've been tiling the kitchen floor!
Absolutely knackered now, just grouted it, had a shower and opened a bottle of red (sorry, I know I shouldn't but I need it to numb the pain)
Anyway, back to the thread, weighed in yesterday and lost 1/2 lb (even though I was really worried about my piggy tendencies) so I'm still well within target. My consultant even approached me to ask if I'd considered becoming a consultant but I just couldn't give up all my hols.
Haven't had chance to catch up on all the new posts but will get around to it.
Anyway, enough of my babbling, keep that slimming going, you're all doing so wellI haven't got one!0 -
honey28 wrote:Delly - I'm glad you are finding SW is the one for you - I love it. Its the only diet you can eat until you are stuffed and still lose weight! Any more recipes in your 7 day meal plans?? What kind of days do you favour and what sort of meals do you plan
Sorry, too many questions! :rotfl:
Haven't gotten round to my meal plan for this week. I got distracted after I posted last night.
I do have another recipie for a rice dish Honey, but I need to fine tune it a bit to make it SW friendly - so I need to try it out first. I usually favour green days because I'm not a big meat eater. I don't like bacon, can't eat lamb, or pork and I'm not fussed on fish (really have to force myself to eat it). So there's really not much choice for me.
Since I've found the SW rice pudding, I've been having that for breakfast every other morning with some fruit..(try to keep some variety in place). Sorry Consultant31 but couscous and mullerlights just don't appeal. Lunch is usually salad veg and cheese with a baked potato or batchelor's savoury rice. Snacks are fruit and dinners vary. I like the quorn pasta bake, proper spuddy dinners (with a chicken heB), chilli, stir fried veg and noodles, roasted veg and sweet potatoes... As I said, I like to keep a bit of variety going - over the next couple of weeks I'm going to work on a s.w. chicken pot pie and a hearty beef stew (getting practise in for when it gets colder!).
I LOVE the fact that I can eat cheese on SW. When I followed ww it just wasn't worth the hassle of losing all those points for a match box sized piece of cheese. The best about it is the changes I've had to make have been quite small. - It's brilliant.
edit: Well done Loopy-Lou, Jen and Cheeky..... well done also TallGirl on avoiding temptation. Remember how it feels and it should help you resist another dayGoal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

Appologies for going AWOL guys, I have been away for work for the last few weigh ins and I have been struggling to stay or even get motivated. I have been tonight lost half a pound and got some inspiration from somewhere.
Cheekymole enjoy your wine, tiling the floor wow I am impressed.0 -
NearlyRich, well done you, keep going.
I'm sitting here now an absolute snivelling wreck, after half a bottle of wine and the first 3 chapters of my book, the one Sara Payne wrote after the murder of her daughter ( I know, I do read cheery books!)
I did start watching the footie but I like to read when it's quiet. Oh well I might as well finish the book and the wine! (how many syns?)I haven't got one!0 -
Hi,
Just got back from walking the dog and remembered that I hadn't posted my first Weigh-in results at SW.
I couldn't go last week as I was away with work but went this week and so for 2 weeks I lost 6 lbs!!!! I'm really chuffed as I spent a week abroad and hoping that what I was doing was right - seemed to be! I feel different already - I had about 1.5 stones to lose to be the weight I was leaving school (nearly 16 years ago) so 6 lbs is almost a third of the total needed. I know it won't be as dramatic next week - I'll try for 2 lbs - but it's a great motivation wen you can see and feel something happening.
Just a quick note - SW is great for veggies you can eat all the stuff you usually eat and still lose weight!
Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and company while I was abroad - I'm away for teh night again tomorrow evening but feel confident that I'll be able to cope.
Goodluck to everyone else!!
Rachel
