Hooray, very many congratulations Cathy, I'm really very chuffed for you. You can't completely abandon us tho, we need sprog updates! You can bget fatter while we all get skinnier! ;-)

Hello K9, I'm doing the whole 'eating healthily without being on SW or WW' thing, I find it works best for me and checking in here a lot stops me straying too much!

JenI, sympathy for your putting on week, blame the weather, or anything else you feel like blaming then steel yourself to annoy them by beating them this week ;-)

Well, typing is maing me weak due to the fact that I have no blood anymore ;-) I was very restrained actually yesterday, the heat and the terror completely wiped me out so I wasn't hungry in the evening, for the first time in my life it was an effort to eat tea! If it wasn't important that I ate I probably would have just nibbled at something but there we go! We'll see how this here blood loss diet goes! ;-) Hope you're all doing well :-)

I know you're away at the time of me posting this, but what do SW do about pg members? I'd like to make sure any weight gain is a healthy one, but in a :money: way, I kind of object to paying £4.25 a week to gain weight!!!!!
Would be very interested in your answer.

    Congratulations on your wonderful news!!:T

Actually, not gone yet - we're off within the hour, so just thought I'd catch up here before going.

As a member you should ask for the pregnancy leaflet - it gives you lots of info on what to expect to gain healthily and how to continue food optimising whilst pregnant. It's a very healthy diet so can be followed throughout. At the latter stages, you can increase the HEs etc (don't know too much off the top of my head, only had 1 preggy lady at my class and that was ages ago).

I realise you feel paying to gain weight is daft, but keeping going to class could well mean the difference between gaining 24 - 28lbs which you will lose with the birth (well most of it anyway) and gaining 4 stone (like I did, lol) and taking months or even years to lose it again

The lady at my class came throughout (missing just the odd week) and she gained under 2 stone and was back to her pre-pregnancy weight in about 4 weeks

Gotta go now, congrats to all those with weight losses this week (no time to read all the posts, sorry). Commiserations to all who gained - I think the heat is to blame and the swollen bits and pieces :rotfl:
Bye for now, 'see' you all soon xx
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

just did my second SW shop and blew my budget AGAIN! Still it wasn't as bad as it was last week so it's improving. Just tohught others may be interested to know that Tesco are doing BOGOF on John West tuna in Springwater, usually 0.99 for a standard small can. Useful for those red days and moneysaving too!

Hi Al, and Welcome! Of course you are welcome to join in - there are several followers of WW on here too and the more the merrier. I've done ww in the past but am on sw now.
How are you finding WW - whats your progress? Theres a 2lb weight loss club, a monthly target club, a recipe index (over on OS) - see Cheekymoles first post on here for links etc.

Nice to have you with us - and that goes to K9cuddles too :hello:

I'm having a bad few days -not food wise thankfully. IBS playing up so havent felt like eating much but am trying to. House move is now in jeopardy - someone on down the chain is wobbling, no contracts signed, meant to be moving next week- as you can imagine stress levels are through the roof and I am trying my hardest not to reach for the biscuit tin. I did succumb to a glass of wine (or2) last night but I diluted it with diet lemonade. I dont want to undo all the hard work I have done over the last few weeks - even though it only resulted in a total of 1 1/2 lb loss.

    Hi everyone,

Ok, day 2 following SW and I need to know am I doing this right cos it doesn't seem right eating so much and still having a weightloss result at the end of the week. On green again by the way!

Breakfast was the porridge oats (heB) mixed with natural yoghurt and berries
Snack was a muller light yoghurt and an apple
Lunch was yesterday's pasta dish warmed through again (heA) - totally stuffed after this:D
Snack on grapes this afternoon & banana
Dinner was roasted chicken with mediterranian veg , sweet potatoes and bbq sauce cos it's a bit dry (2syns)

THEN I had 2x penguin bars (6 syns each:eek: ) with a cup of tea (milk=heA).(that was how I dealt with sweet craving thursdays)

I PROMISE I haven't left anything out... are you sure it's going to work??????:o

    Hi Delly

    Have faith - it works!

    It looks fine to me.

I can see you've got two B's - oats and chicken, and 2 A's - cheese (on pasta?) and milk, and you've had 14 syns.

Can I just ask a couple of things to check that you aren't eating any 'secret syns'! Did you weigh your chicken? Was your chicken skinless and cooked without any added fat? Were your Mediterranean veggies cooked without added fat? (Frylight is fine).

I'm not doubting you by the way, just making you aware of the kind of things that people new to SW might overlook. :)

Its just dawned on me - DELLY since you are new to SW has anyone told you how to make SW chips - they are lovely, in fact I think they would be ok on any diet? They are a great "green day" dinner - fried egg (in frylight) SW chips and beans!! You can have them as chips, wedges, roasties, cubes....! and they are free on green.

Peel and slice your potatoes. Par boil for 5-10 mins. Drain and pat dry, Spray baking sheet and chips with fry light - place in very hot oven for up to 25 mins - until cooked. Enjoy!

Aw honey...sounds like things are hard. Hope you're getting through it all okay. Make sure you've got some yummy free food (or some low syn muller lights) to reach for.
It'll all work itself out in time - it always does. :)

PS I'll keep my chubby fingers crossed for you anyway.
