    Hi guys

Good luck with the move Honey, and well done everyone on their losses.
If you don't mind me asking Suggs, how long has it taken you to lose all those lbs?? Well done.

Been away from here again for a while. Work is just so busy at the moment, which has been good to keep my mind occupied and not thinking of food, but it's starting to get me down and that's when i pig out.
Managed to lose 3 lbs last week, and gain 2 this week, so at total loss of 21lbs so far with SW (and 7.5lb before joining).
OH took a photo recently for me to put in my scrap book, and it's helped me see a difference. It can be so easy to not see yourself properly when you look in the mirror. Still hate what i see though.....

I agree with what Lois said about using syns to make things taste a little naughtier. One of our favourite meals is mince lamb curry with peas, chick peas and spinach. To help reduce the syns we make a large amount and add half lamb, and half soya mince/quorn. This gives a lovely lamb flavour, whilst redcuing the amount of lamb you get in each serving (lamb can be a healthy B or syns, quorn/soya mince free). Then rice is free too. This can be done with any mince dish (cottage pie, bolognase, etc), and helps cost wise too as you get loads of food to freeze for another meal. We tried the meal as a red day, but when you count the rice, peas and chick peas it works much better as a green day.

Does anyone else have any ideas how to still enjoy their favourites??? Really interested in finding ways to stick at it this time.
    What's he building in there???

How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave

some nice sounding recipes on here, i'm really looking forward to doing this properly now! Wagamama was fab, and it was a free meal thanks to a tip on another forum. I had the fried duck which was a bit naughty, but i did share them. Went for a rice dish with grilled chicken and oyster sauce in the end so i think i kept within the bounds of decency. Almost blew my head off yesterday with home made coleslaw. Forgot that mustard intensifies over time so when i made it on tues morning i put way too much in. oops! I really admire your progress guys, the amount of weight you have all lost is fantastic. well done!

Suggs: Good work on the upgrade, I'd be very impressedif I was Mrs Suggs, in fact can I swap you for Mr Fritha ;-)

Jenpoptab: well done on the los this week :-)

Well, I'm off to donate blood this afternoon! Hmmmm, I wonder how much a pint of blood weighs? this could be a new diet "forget the Inch Loss Diet and do Fritha's Blood Loss Diet" Possibly a teeny bit drastic! Consequently I will be a little bit naughty today, it scares the living daylights out of me so I have some chocolate to bring me round! I will be restrained tho :-) I have been very well behaved so far this week, I was really quite down yesterday and very much wanted chocolate but I resisted!

does anyone know if you can pop popcorn with frylight instead of oil, or will it go horribly wrong...

I don't know if Frylight would work or not, but what about getting a popcorn maker - they don't use any fat at all.

I used to have one of the type that's like an inside-out hairdryer; it worked well enough but tended to cover the kitchen in popcorn! I've also seen ones that can be used in the microwave, although by the time I decided to get one I couldn't find them anymore

    Hi all,
I have survived my holiday in Mallorca and a week (nearly) back at work!! I think I'd like another holiday now please!
I went and got weighed 2 hours after I landed from my holiday and had put on 2lb, which I was actually OK about, knowing what I had eaten and drunk all holiday. I kept SW in mind but allowed myself what I wanted and the damage wasn't too bad ...
This week I was away Thursday and Friday and had a few treats but brought myself back inline on Sunday and have lost my holiday 2lb, so I am really chuffed!
Honey - I too am 1/2 lb away from my stone, but 3 1/2 away from my Club 10 and 5 1/2 away from my target weight (which changes by a pound or so every time I think about it!). So I am on a drive to get it gone by the end of September, which sounds ages away but my weight doesn't fly off (more's the pity), It's taken me 3 months to get to nearly a stone!! I think this is because I am trying to put SW in my daily life without missing out on too much that I want, so that I can continue it when I finally get to my target, rather than going on an all out "Yey, let's have chocolate-fest" when I get there!! I bought a 12 week countdown at SW last week (12 for the price of 10) and so the aim is to be at target once I get to the end (or preferably before) so it is free to go from there-on in!:p
Hope everyone has had a good couple of weeks, only read a couple of pages of messages so far!!
Have a great week whatever you're doing!
Oh, & for info, Ros lost 2lb this week taking her to her target (well 1lb below!!) in time for her New York!! Well done Ros!!!! :T :j
Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A

I haven't contributed to this thread much, but just wanted to mention that I got my 2 stone certificate at my Rosemary Conley class on Monday (29 lbs lost in total).
It has taken 28 weeks to lose 29lbs but I'm not too bothered about that. I still feel that I have fat to lose and really feel that I need to do a lot of toning up but it has been really difficult to get motivated to exercise properly in this heat.

Well Done Lisyloo - thats fantastic. I'm sure you are enjoying your new figure!

Lois - Thanks for the offer of the word document of the food diary - Cheekymole had the original scanned as a pdf so she emailed it to be - hope you are offended!

    You bet.
I know it sounds cliched, but it really is nice to try things on that fit and look good (and have to go back for a smaller size and not a larger one) rather than thinking you are sharing the changing room with a sumo wrestler :-)

I used to hate buying clothes before (because I felt I looked horrible in everything and need bigger sizes) whereas now, it's actually enjoyable.

Hi everyone - sorry not been on for a day or two - but found out yesterday that I am expecting. :j (total shock - but I am over the moon.:p ) We were only saying that once I got my stone and a half award we would start trying. I have been ill all year on and off, and this sickness I put down to having caught yet another bug! Dr wanted me to have a blood test to see if I was having thyroid probs or early menopause - we were all shocked with this result!

Guess I wont be around as much for a little while - be checking out all the ways to save as much as possible for the new bundle of joy. (on the other forums in this board.)

Wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone for all their support and encouragement. Keep up the good work you "guys".:T
