Lois - was it you who was thinking of being a consultant - did you decide what to do??

Hi Honey - just noticed this! It wasn't me, although I have considered it.

Only trouble is that where I live there are already loads of SW classes, and the consultant nearest to me runs four separate classes, so I'm not going to try to compete!

is the rice and bean salad home made? LL

Yes, the salad is home made. Just finished making it. OH said that he wouldn't mind some for his lunch tomorrow either so just made LOADS!. I put a chicken stock cube in for extra flavour without thinking and then decided to check it's syn value - 1.5 syns already and It's not even tomorrow yet:rotfl: Since the stock cube went into the whole thing do I count all the syns even though I'm definitely not eating it all?

Feel like old Mother Hubbard, I went to make my salad and the blooming cupboard was almost bare!

I did get the password tonight and even registered while I was at it to get a feel of the website... SO much information!_pale_ I think I'll try and keep it quite simple this week though until I get the hang of things.
I'll keep an eye on here while I am at work in case you need help (dont tell the boss!)
Thanks for the offer Honey, but there's no need. I work in the public service and all internet usage is logged to monitor for abuse and a report is sent to our head of department - don't want to get into bother when I'm only back from Mat leave 4 weeks!
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

well my meal last night was delicious and I didn't go mad on dessert despite having 7 different puddings in front of me. I have woken with a dodgy tummy again, which keeps happening when I have been out, so I am questioning whether I do have an intolerance to something as this happened on Saturday too after a meal out.

Big weigh in today and I feel better and positive that I have lost weight although it may only be the 1lb that i put on last week.

Anyway I will let you know later.

Well done cheeky on staying with your target! Enjoy your hols (again...yes i'm bitter :D).

Good luck with this week dellybelly. Sounds like you'll be fine! Don't worry about the stock cube. A few syns a day is good for you!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Would you kind chaps mind checking up on a syn value for me.

Del monte strawberry fruit double ice lollies (reckon one lolly weighs just under 100g)
Typical Values Per 100g Per Serving
    Energy 353KJ 83KCAL
    Protein 1.1 G
    Carbohydrate 16.6 G
    Fat 1.4 G

I'm in a bit of a dilemma about the classes i go to. I still feel weird about doing the SW diet whilst attending the rosemary conley class. The class is on kind of an akward day as wednesday is the only day for cinema-ing with the OH (orange wednesdays, dontcha know). It is also nearer to work than to where i live now which means my wednesdays consist of leaving work at the usual time of 4 and wasting two hours before class or staying in the office till 6.

On the other hand i have actually made friends at the RC class, something which i've never done at a slimming class before for some reason. Even if i don't lose weight i feel like i'm not wasting money cause we do exercise there as well and i really enjoy the exercise.

Of course it'd be great to be at a SW class (especially as there's a couple near my new place) as they're terribly useful for advice.

Don't want to make the wrong move in case i suddenly stop doing so well!

Thanks for reading the babble, again!

    Hi Jenittels

they are 4 syns on both plans

    jenpoptab,

I always have a dicky tummy when I've been out, I think it's the fat that things are cooked in which our bodies are now not used to
    I haven't got one!

How's everyone getting on with their monthly challenge?

I set myself a 7lb target for the month. I am at 4.5lb with one more weigh in to go, so 2.5 to lose this week

I think my monthly challenge was more a 1 month 10 day challenge, I stated that I would like to lose a stone and managed to lose 9lb which I am more than happy with :D

The Reason for the odd duration was that I fly out to Dubai tonight for 6 days in a lovely 5 star hotel, I know it will be Hot Hot Hot!! But I am aiming to chill out and relax. The diet as such goes on suspension for the duration of the break, but I hope to maintian while I am away. The GF doesnt know it but I have upgraded to a suite, with a butler  and a car picking us up at the airport ;)

Honey - Keep going, always good to read about your feelings and how your doing.
Jenpoptab - Good luck for later, hope for a nice surprise.
Lois - Your advice and tips are very helpful. All the best with the 10lb target.
Consultant31 - The oracle from which an endless stream of helpful information seem to flow :)
JenIttels, Cheekymonkey and anyone else I have missed, Keep going and Keep Smiling :j Its the only way to fly :p
