Hi - bad week for me 1lb on!
Still below club 10 target. :j
Not been well - and for a while thought I was hungry (ravenous) rather than nauseaus!!!!!So I was having all green days - normally alternate. Also not actually eaten as much - some days pineapple and water only, so not a surprise that today I needed a huge jacket potato and beans for lunch! (normally have very "light" food on weigh in day - egg sandwich or tomatoes on toast.)
Now need to get some really tasty food inside me this week that get my tastebuds going the right "way!" (And the weight going the right way too!:rotfl: )0 -
Well Done Fox - how much is that in total?
Cathy - dont beat yourself up about it. You havent been well and your body has been confused because it hasnt been getting fed. Hope you are feeling much better and on track for a good week.0 -
Hi everyone,
Just went to my first SW class tonight - phew ! It was LONG! but quite motivational. Missed seeing my DS after work though. I'm not too sure how I'm going to manage to stay for class if it goes on so long every week. Think there's another one on Wednesday nights that might suit better - but it clashes with yoga and I dont want to give that up just yet. Still think MSE slimmers are better though !
I know it's been 3 weeks or something since I last had a weight for the 2lb club so here goes. .....
I've lost 2lbs since my weigh in at the beginning of july. I am 3.5lbs closer to my monthly target of 8lbs :rotfl: Not bad considering the past few weeks have been a nightmare.
Ok, does anyone have any suggestions for a breakfast for tomorrow if I'm having a green day? I ususally eat cereal or toast in the morning.
Enjoy your night out Jenpoptab.
Have a great holiday Cheekymole
Well done on the weightloss fox
Thanks for the tip on the quark CuddlesTC - my only problem is my local tesco has stopped doing it. so I'll have to go hunting.
Good luck with the move honey. Where abouts are you in NI? (dopey me didn't even catch on that you were from here too!).Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Hi Delly,
You can still have cereal for breakfast if you are on a green day - 2 weetabix is a healthy extra (b) and your milk is from your h e (a). You could have other cereals too - or 2 slices of wholemeal toast. your butter/flora/jam would count as syns.
If you are at home in the mornings you could have fruit and then beans and eggs, mushrooms tomatoes - or bacon eggs tomatoes etc if you are on a red day.
The first week is the hardest - read and re-read you book. You have the added bonus of coming on here if you get stuck. I'll keep an eye on here while I am at work in case you need help (dont tell the boss!)
Read the book tonight - make a plan for your meals tomorrow, that way you are prepared. Stock up on muller light and loads of fruit!
More importantly good luck - and well done on the 2lb!!0 -

Hi Delly - well done! :T And in case you're thinking the opposite, remind yourself that 2 pounds is still 2 pounds!Ok, does anyone have any suggestions for a breakfast for tomorrow if I'm having a green day? I ususally eat cereal or toast in the morning.
As Honey says, you can still have cereal or toast in the morning using your healthy extras, but if you want to save your HEs for later in the day (a sandwich for lunch for example) you can have an absolute feast for breakfast on a green day with Quorn sausages, eggs (poached, dry fried or scrambled with milk from your HE A allowance), baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and left over potatoes. For a lighter/quicker breakfast on either red or green days, how about lots of fruit and muller light - a banana, a pear and a nectarine make a filling start to the day.
On red days you can have lean bacon, Quorn sausages, mushrooms, eggs, and tomatoes.
You really can 'breakfast like a king' with Slimming World!

I'm allergic to eggs, lamb and pork (very very bad IBS:eek: ) and I don't like bacon:o so there won't be too many red days for me.
I was planning to stick to mostly green and use my HEB's for meat if I fancied some.
I've already been thinking about tomorrow. How does this sound?
42g weetabix crunchy bran (heB) and skimmed milk (heA) - possibly with a banana on top.
rice and beans salad at lunchtime (free - is that right?)
then roasted vegetable pasta bake with low fat cheese (heA) as a topping.
I was planning on snacking on fruit and keeping a muller light yoghurt in reserve (are muller lights free too?) and maybe using another heB with a hi fi bar if I was peckish tomorrow night.

honey28 wrote:How's everyone getting on with their monthly challenge?
I set myself a 7lb target for the month. I am at 4.5lb with one more weigh in to go, so 2.5 to lose this week
Hi Honey - my target was to lose 8 lbs this month, and so far I've lost 5, so I need another 3lb weight loss by Monday (no chance! lol). But it's only Tuesday so I ain't giving up yet!
I also set myself a long term goal - just off now to find out what it was....
_pale_ hmmm - one and a half stone by my birthday, which is now 7 weeks away, and I've lost 7lbs since setting that target, so I've got to achieve an average weight loss of 2lbs a week to do it... well that's decided me then. From Monday 31st July until Monday 4th September, I want to lose 10lbs

Hi Delly - your menu for tomorrow sounds fine - just one question, is the rice and bean salad home made? If not, I would check the syn value as ready made salads are often high in fat.
Yes - mullerlight is FREE food! Apart from the ones with cake pieces in them, which are half or one syn - ie lemon meringue, apple pie, sticky toffee...
Did you get a password for the SW website tonight? If so, its a great way to check up on syn values of branded foods and any that aren't listed in your SW book.
