Happy birthday Miss Valli
Pigpen that is so sad, hope your DD is coping ok. I lost my best friend at 13 with cystic fibrosis and it was really hard to cope with. Loosing another friend at the same time I couldn't even consider how that would feel. Thinking of you all & those poor girls families x x
cyclingyorkie pleased for your DD
carol22 fingers crossed here too
greenbee well done on the weight loss, that sounds yummy!!
embb if you don't have any you don't have to do it, I am the same with ironing
Moam hope interview went well. With the dyslexia it's usually more a level of support needed than a level of difficulty, I actually don't know a child here with Dyslexia who has a statement. However there are ways of supporting him yourselves and there are agencies like http://www.dyslexiaaction.org.uk/Page.aspx?PageId=6 which may be able to help (they do tutoring in some areas)
poohbear, pleased to hear that, I know how much your DH can struggle with those things. With the CDs what about to keep the birds off plants? My friend uses them on strings across plants especially at seed stage on her allotment
Triker pleased you found something you liked. Did they not offer you a decent trade in price? Names.....Nelly, Nina, Nippy (Nissan) Miley, Molly, Mindy, MishCar ***instead of Mishka*** (Micra)
Tried to get on last night but website wouldn't work, so here I amYesterday was manic anyway, bare minimum to keep head above chaos was done. Today pretty busy too, NAS course which ok was useful but nothing I didn't know and I felt a little as if I was giving more practical advice than the course leader which is a bit odd, but got home and finished that downstairs loo completely. It's now emptied, cleaned, shoe rack is in (it's got a space under sink for it) basket in there for gloves/hats etc which have been sorted, the remainder stored stuff like the fan etc that kept going back in there is now in the garage. I've emptied every shoe from the hall way into the living room (in 2 boxes and a bag) so tonights mission is sort through them all once I have had a rest as my back is going daft. I'll bag up the grow out of to pass on and put away those to keep. DP said he'll put a rail up so the boys can put their own coats/bags up which will be a relief! :rotfl: It's probably because I lost my head with him when he told DS1 off for leaving his and said if he had somewhere to put it he would.....We did find some things we have been looking for, NAS drive which is very important is it has my expenses forms on amongst other things. Oh we found the bathroom scales too
so now I have to put a battery in and weigh myself so I can start concentrating on loosing weight better.
Can I please have a bathroom starI've done the bathroom and the loo is now a usable/clean/organised one too!!! So please someone tell me why even though I have a bad back and needed it clearing to save me having to go up/down stairs all the time I've been twice to upstairs since I finished it
:rotfl: not used to it.
Made a decision to reduce my committments next week, I need some time off so just got DS2 hospital Monday, meeting with Web developer Tuesday and DS1 hospital Wednesday...ahhhh diary looks so much less messy. Going to fill it with getting the house sorted more, made loads of progress but don't want to loose sight of it.One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Can i claim the final 3 stars please toots?
Hi everyone,
Hope you're all well and lots of *hugs*, positive vibes, congratulations and  for those in need. Sorry i don't make the posts more personal, haven't a hope of keeping up with you all but i do think about you all and love the support and comaraderie (sp?) shown to all on here.
Work was tedious today i had the sum total of 3 sheets of paper to file and nothing else but i took the opportunity to write emails that i've been meaning to for a while and researched some of the things i want to do when over visiting my best mate and adopted brother in June. They moved over (Sydney) in August as bm's visa ran out and they decided it was the right time to start a new life afresh out there, miss them stupidly but will get to spend 5 weeks with them soon enough - so excited
I've had a bit of a baking session since i got in i've made 2 banana breads, an apple pie, jam and lemon curd tarts, a fruit braid and there are 2 offal loaves in the oven for the dog as i'm typing. Feel very :A like looking at it all. Have a fair bit of pastry left so might make some savoury bits as well, hmmmmm.
Off to walk the dog now then i think it will be shower, pj's and reading my book in bed. It's felt like a long week so definately looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow.
Big hugs to Toots and Lady_L. You're both stars ladies x0 -
Hex/PenPen - starting to wonder about amazon already. Going to bung the isbn's in and if any don't have loads of copies I'll list them. The rest I'll try at the car boot I'm doing in the spring and if not will donate them either to the school library shelves or the hospital charity book stall.
Smilies have I been offended? Possibly but no more so than by the odd post containing only words. I'm not keen when people say something offensive and put a big grin at the end but to me that is when people start a sentence with 'I don't mean to offend you but...' . The Roll eyes smiley I found was used more by posters about themselves/the situation they were in rather than at others..
Cleared up from dinner.
Lost my mojo, once DS3 goes up to bed I'll try the ironing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Exactly.... I miss rolling my eyes at myself at least twice a day, as well as my child, my dog, work, etc :rotfl:
Ive never rolled my eyes at anyone else, but then you dont know whats going on on the other boards/threads...Someone people Ive encountered on here can only really be described as mean....I can imagine some less tasteful characters using them at others and not at themselves.
I have decluttered 2 large glasses of wine, half a tube of pringles, some thorntons classic selection and some mini cheddarsSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Evening All!
Been MIA again, really busy last couple of days, helping a friend because she hasn't got a car at the moment and I have offered to take her to appointments and shopping. But I am quietly working away on my list and am soooo happy how my house looks now! Still decluttering to do but most of the clutter is hidden away now so I can do it in slow time. I am getting there. I can start concentrating on other things now.
Not heard a word from Ex, thank goodness. I hope he has finally got the message to stay out of my life.
Hugs to all that need them!
