Oh Toots given that the "find more posts by" feature seems to be stuck on yesterday (possibly deliberately by TPTB - and I can understand why) I've added a line to post 3 (which is something AnW'smum suggested ages ago!) at the top of the star list giving the post number that was last checked to.

If we both update that in future, it will save us duplicating work xxx

PS this is really Soappie posting -I forgot to change identities!

Blesss you all, I wasn't looking for sympathy. I am perhaps too practical - I couldn't give a fig about the ash scattering. I simply don't want poor MIL trying to cater for lunch for 12 when she simply can't afford it - far too proud to accept cash handouts but I will not let her feed all six of us plus my BIL and his family so will happily do it myself. I have a joint of smoked gammon which will do rolls, plus pasta salad etc, and chocolate cake for afters.
Dusty - FIL had a lot of humour and would appreciate the wind! He said I had to drink a saved for the event magnum bottle of his best 15% red, so just glad I am not driving or even thinking after lunch time.

Toots -I bought the website over two years ago, just wasnt ready to go live. It is nearly there now, and will hopefully help people even if it doesnt generate much income. The old paying it forwards theory again.

DW emptied and filled, small boys decluttered to their beds. me next please after a long soak in the bath.

. The Roll eyes smiley I found was used more by posters about themselves/the situation they were in rather than at others..

    .
how true I NEED that smiley back because I NEED it when I am talking about my beloved DS
who has let me down BIG STYLE tonight...

Booked a table for 5 at Frankie and Benny's for DD and 4 friends and a table for two for me and DS who, at the last minute announced he 'wasn't hungry' and was going to his friends. Like I am going to sit on my own at a table...

So took DD then change of plan, told them I didn't now need the table for two (fortunately they were packed out and could use it) so I popped home and had tomato soup. Out of a tin. I had planned to have a steak (after Soappie's meal last night;)

Am not however, arguing with DS or reading the riot act - I don't need the hassle. I could have cried...
