Tesco overcharged me

    Everyone makes mistakes, that doesn't mean tesco did it with intention. Its still upto you to ensure an error hasn't occured, come on take some responsibility.

    Either way Tesco's refunded the OP they aren't legally required to do anymore.
    Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.
  • Glad you got a resolution to this but I still for the life of me can't understand how you didn't notice when the cashier said "seventy nine pounds please" at the checkout.

    I'm more surprised by the fact that your friend went and got one and paid the correct price £49 on the same day. Prices usually only update overnight to the tills as they have to close down and reopen totally to download the new prices. This is usually done at some point between 11pm and 2am. The tills automatically close down and take about 15 minutes to download and reboot.

    I would ask for a refund and go and see an optician to have your eyes tested

    I bought loads of stuff on that day christmas eve or 1 day before. Cashier said some money 100 something. I thought that included my £49 only in the bill.

    If your friend bought exactly the same product at exactly the same time as you its more likely to have been an error on your part where by you have picked up a 1.5tb instead of the 1tb or you friend has picked up a 500gb. The tills dont chane the prices themselves after each customer.
    Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

    I'm not sure how it works, it looks like they scanned the wrong item label for me. My concern is Tesco not treating customers fairly.

    How can they have scanned the wrong item label! Your story gets fishier and fishier
    /Got my money £79, not going to buy from Tesco anymore, what a bad experience.

    Did they take the drive back and refund you £79???

    there is only 1 barcode on the item, there arent various barcodes that are different prices, its either a case of the item was priced wrong or you mis-read the shelf edge label

    dont mean to be picky but are you usign the quote button to quote posts as they dont seem to be showing correctly,
