I purchased instore only not online. I'm really sad to loose my £30 with Tesco. To be honest they will have to apologies for their mistake and credit my balance difference atleast if they are honest.0

TBH how could you not notice an extra £30 on your bill when you were at the till?? You were aware a 1TB for £49 was outstanding value and you even said you friend looked at it quoting it was a good price. Most people would make sure it went through the till at the correct price.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
/* Either way the marked up price is only an invitation to treat not a contract, secondly you have waited a month before checking a receipt to see that you were over charged, when in fact you could have easily picked up a different HDD to the one marked at £49.
Sorry but to me something smells fishy, the timescale is too long also an extra £30 at the checkout most people would notice and would have checked the receipt straight away. */
To be honest i never check my bills when buy with Tesco or any similar supermarket, believe the people that was my biggest mistake. I don't think so everyone check their bill my knowledge only 5% people only check after the shopping. There is no fishy in that.0 -

If i had noticed the difference i would not have posted here. As i said previous one it happened.0 -
For Tesco it is not hard for them to scan the price at the time of i purchased in the shop and display price. If they never had 79£ before for this hard disk that's the first check to prove they made a mistake.
I'm happy to go futher if they say cannot give me the difference.0 -
You should have checked the price when you bought it, you have had at least 20 odd days or at least a month to check the receipt, i honestly dont think you have a chance of getting the difference back but thats me0

It is only an offer to treat up to the point of sale, at which time a contract is formed. if overcharged the advertised amount of £49 then the contract has been breached to the detriment of the customer your answer is misleading as offer to treat does not factor into this situation.
In answer to the op's question is that if they concede or you can demonstrate the advertised price was £49 then they have indeed overcharged you, once they have conceded overcharge or you have proven it then you can avail yourself of their double the difference policy and claim £60 from them as per the terms of the contract formed at point of sale. If they do not pay out then simply file an online claim for the £60 double the difference and costs.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Thanks for your replies,
