Why worry, have you ever seen a healthy adult who can't walk? (after pub closing time doesn't count;))
Well, it's worth finding out what other people's experiences are, because it's possible (although unlikely) that someone will come back and say "Have you had him checked out for x, because mine didn't walk until 3 because they found he had x".

The HV is probably best placed to give reassurance, of course, because s/he can SEE the OP's little one and SEE whether there's an obvious problem, also they should be well informed about the potential problems.

My son was a late walker and walked at 16 and a half month and then just started running, jumping kicking balls etc straightaway. He used to love sitting and was very good with his hands-eg feeding himself from a very early age. My daughter has just turned 1 and is starting to walk and I'm in shock because I think i had it quite easy with my son! I'm worn out!
Now I was worn out by DS2 NOT walking, because he was a lump, and when I took DS1 to nursery it was down a footpath, so I had to park a way away, and it was a toss up whether to just tuck DS2 under my arm or faff around with the buggy!

I had arm muscles in those days ... :rotfl:

Mind you if he'd been walking any earlier I'd have had a toss up whether it was quicker to let him walk or faff round with the buggy, I was always late!

Both me and OH didn;t walk till about 17 months. I was a bum shuffler. We're expecting our DD to be a late one too. I wouldn;t worry. Like someone has said, everyone you see as an adult is walking! And so are school-age kids.
