  • My son was cruising at 8 months and walking unaided at 11 months. My OH didn't ever crawl and didn't walk till 17 months so we were expecing a late one! As has been said before, every child is different! Don't worry :)

I just want to say to those that believe that early walking will result in bow legs - no it won't - one link and I could add many more http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/229802/bowed_legs_a_result_of_early_standing.html. Both mine loved standing from tiny and loved their walkers and neither has bow legs.

My little lad was nearly 18months but once he did start he was ace and was running confidently within a few days. My health visitor had mentioned a referral to check all was okay but I think they do everything when they're ready
    Updating soon...
  • My DD walked around 14 months, DS1 I'm sure was later than that.
DS2 walked at 11 months and I've never had peace since!!!

My nephew didn't walk til a year and a half but he shuffled on his bum for ages. Every kid is different, I really wouldn't worry about it.

My twins (5 weeks early) were both walking and running by 9 months. Their cousins x2 both 5 weeks older, didn't get of their feet till nearly two, at times I could have done with mine being late starters but I think they were just in competition with each other :):):) I really wouldn't worry, once he starts he will be away in no time and you will be trying to catch him :)
  • My eldest walked on his 1st birthday (crawled at about 9 months), my second at 9 months (didn't crawl) and my third started very slowly at 12 months but took another couple of months to really get going (crawled very early at 5/6 months).
