That happened to me when I went home last!! My sister had seen a photo of me and sent a text saying 'i think you should really think about getting your hair cut alot shorter' ....I was really annoyed by her tone so when I went over and we went to the hairdressers together I told them to just trim it (even though I actually wanted to get about 6 inches off lol) and everyone I seen that day told me my hair looked lovely...so I said just hang on...... Sis are you listening...say that again.......:p:rotfl:

We have packed in for the day spent 2 hours this morning and an hour and a half this afternoon packing the sewing room. My goodness there was so much in there and it all came out of the apartment, heaven knows where it is going but it will disappear.
One of the tables is dismantled, we just have the top of the other table and a few boxes of thread to clear, then I can take the legs off the other table and we can put the boxes the there.
The airing cupboard and linen cupboard have both been packed and I have a suitcase full of linen to go to the charity shop. Tomorrow I have to see a friend who has some fabric for me and also a pair of curtains......!!! Tuesday I get my hair cut and wednesday I have to collect a roll of wadding to take with us, it comes in a box thankfully.
Shiraz has just been to see what needs doing in the house. I told him the kitchen needs painted and a new floor and also replace the c****y laminate in the bathroom, he helped me lift out the old fridge and freezer for the chaps to collect on Tuesday. More rubbish gone.
We have been having two showers a day, it sure helps the aching joints, I have slept better the last 2 nights as well......this time next week we have to be packed and ready to go......aaaagggghhhhh.....I hate mess of any description, this week is going to drive me seriously nuts!!! At least at the other end we can have it all dumped in the second bedroom, as long as the kitchen and bedroom are ok thats fine by me, the rest can be done over the week. Hopefully by two weeks time we should be approaching normality again. How I wish I could go to sleep and wake up when its all over!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
I have made sausage rolls, chocolate and raisin hobnobs, prepped the veg for tea tonight, done 3 loads of washing (and had to hang it round the house grrrr) and I still haven't even started on the ironing. Where has the day gone? We walked up to Mr S with the kids on bikes so I could get some marg, came back had lunch and it's been non stop since then. I've got to pop round to my mums in a sec and feed their dogs as they are out this afternoon.
Is it too early to start drinking
NPM - no cheese scones here, will have to do them tomorrow (this is why I always keep mentioning as I never seem to get round to doing them) so if you wanna send me a couple I'll be your best friend
Zippy/JC - I am 35 in March, mother to 2 kids and yet my mum STILL treats me like a child at times  Like you JC it makes me into a right brat but I can't help itI was getting my butt kicked yesterday because according to her we don't eat together as a family enough. Asked her if she was here at mealtimes........well no she replied but I know what you lot are like. Honestly at times its enough to make me scream!
PP - hugs to you and the family. Hope your FIL is comfortable xx
LW - never been to Northumberland - actually quite fancy it. Have you been before?
Molly - chin up chicken xx
Right better go and feed my mums poochies.

Another productive OS day for me. I've prepped veg/pots for tea, made big stirfry for lunch (chopped veg myself not the pre-packeted ones), made salad for lunch at work tomorrow, frozen leftover soup, hard boiled some eggs, defrosted some falafels to go with salad for work - just need to cook them when I make tea. Washing dried and almost all put away.
Also I've tried on my outfit for the wedding I'm off to in Feb and it all fits perfectly. I went to Morrisons too, and they didn't have any blooming risotto rice  there must be a shortage in S Wales :rotfl:
I've just got back from a lovely half hour walk by the sea. It was such a beautiful afternoon. Although I am now feeling a bit  now cos I was rather jealous of all the happy families out there - made me wish I had an OH/kids/dog

DDs have had friends over for the last couple of hours, and oh my goodness, can one of them moan!
I feel tense as I listen to it. Not sure how DDs put up with the moaning, but I'm going to chuck them out shortly, so I can have peace restored
She's lovely really, bless her, but she really does moan :rotfl:There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

Slept until 10am, very unusual, but was watching TV until 2pm. We are an hour ahead here, so puts TV timings out. We have lost the main 5 channels, without starting to pay, so are managing with what is left, we have Sky News, Eurosport, ITV3 & 4, 6 film channels, last night we watch a Morse, followed by a Nebus, then a Trial & Retribution on ITV3, repeats they may be but we hadn't seen them, and did not feel like going out. Been for our hours walk
, by the time I got back I had hardly any voice left, as the chest is still tight, and the cough is still there.
Just managed to get the other smilies to work on my PC, try going to the site right click on the smilie you want, select "copy image location", go to the picture symbol at the top of the reply box - the one with a mountain and a sun on it - then then paste location into that, having first put the cursor where you want your piccy. Some of you have it working easier, but for those who don't try that.
Got a chicken from Lidl yesterday, was going to get one of the pre-cooked herby ones, but decided that 7€ for a smaller one that I could get 1300kg 2.39€ was OOT,so will try to make a herby stuffing myself. Also got cauli, brocolli, and carrots, so a full roast dinner will be the result. Will then make a chicken casserole for the next day (or two) with the carcass.
Glad we went for our walk when we did, as it has gone rather overcast now, and rain is threatened for the next 3 days, so will hopefully get some HW and the tapestry done, rather than my time on here.
Take care
DG
Testing...I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
