Hi Guys!
FIL is still with us and trooping on.
Got a large beef joint out the freezer Friday and cooked in the SC yesterday with water, onion, carrots and a few herbs. Had a small Roast last night and OH/DD have had beef and horseradish sarnies for lunch. Have done a salad for MIL and there is still enough beef left for a big roast dinner, so will place in a bag with gravy to freeze. The joint was £8 but well worth it. Used the meat slicer DD bought us a couple of yrs ago for a present.
WM has been on and DW. House is clean and tidy but a lot of ironing needing doing.
Had a lovely fried egg sandwich for breakfast, some leftover beef and spuds/veg for lunch and not sure for dinner yet.
3 hospital visits this week, so thats something to look forward too. Nurse is popping in again later tonight as she needs to check my bloods again as they werent too good this morning.
Anyway, hugs to all and again, thanks for all the lovely messages and PM's.
Where have some of the smily's gone??

MSD - So glad to hear Tris and Michelle have both impreoved, thats great news.
NPM - hope you are sat eating scones!!
Have had a nice day so far. Went to see up at the Cinema (kids £1 showing). Thought it was really sad at the beginning and cried (I also cried at The Lion King when that came out!:o), but enjoyed it.
We then went to pizza hut, as I had a 50% off voucher, so for 3 of us including starters and a shared pudding it was £10.43 (we had tap water to drink), so I thought that was pretty good.
Kids have now gone out to play, I am on here ignoring the ironing pile, but will have to do it soon!0 -

I am so glad things are looking better for Tris and Michelle.
Had fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and DH took DD for a driving practice while she is home. She goes back to Oxford tonight and her sister(21) goes back to Newcastle tomorrow morning.
Have been having a delayed 16th for dd and (62) for DH this weekend.
Lunch was mixed veg, home made yorkshire and roasties and choice of salmon steak, chicken in pesto or low fat sausages and gravy. DD and I washed up but DH insisted he did the roasting pans (did not want me to get tired).
Now I have lost some weight (half way there) it is much easier to bend down and pick things up and I noticed I can get much nearer the sink and worktop now my tummy is less big and fat:j
We will be driving DD to the train station around five o'clock so tea will be fitted in around that. Might do a pasta and pesto dish as an experiment.
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Good afternoon all.
We have all had a veerrrrry lazy day here and are not long bathed & dressed. It's been great to have a completely restful day after all the running about recently
Tea, continuing in the theme of not much work, will be baked potatoes with whatever fillings that everyone wants to put on.
So no OS here at all really today - shall I get my coat......?
Hugs to anyone who needs one.0 -
Hi all! Hope you all didn't miss me too much:rotfl:
Have had no computer sincec TUesday night, so i can't explain how good it is to get online. I have had a dividing wall knocked down in my living room and the whole lot replastered . Also throw in Mums birthday, and a concert i had booked in months ago, and I am living in disorganised chaos
Today I Have hooked up the computer myself (which I was very proud of ! ), and i know have a TV. My fridge has been neglected so there is quite a bit of off food in there which I need to sort out. Bleugh
My hall floor and kitchen floor is absolutely covered in plaster, and I am afraid it is a hands and knees job - so I have plenty to keep me busy. There is no point in putting any stuff back in here, as it *should* be getting painted this coming weekend all going to plan.
I haven't been able to bring myself to cook because of the chaos so have been living on toast for days!
I need to decide on a plan for my living room which is much harder than i realised! It is 25ft long, with various breaks in the walls - so I can put diff colours in, but my Mum is arguing with me every step of the way. She is buying me a sofa and has ideas - and also thinks I should paint the whole living room white  I mean, has she met me? :rotfl:I'm not a white walls kind of person...:o I had thought of doing a ocuple of walls dark purple kind of thing.
Also she has been arguing that I should get laminated floor - I would rather have PROPER wooden floor , or dark carpet but she won't listen to my reason, or that i don't want a laminate floor.
Anyway, i'm rambling. It's all doing my head in!
I have stripped my bed , have washing to hang up, and more to wash. The wash in the machine has been there 3 days and already rewashed. Where do you hang washing when you are getting plastering done?
Anyway, better go catch up on what's been happening.
Hugs to all. xxx:wave:A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Hope your all enjoying your days xYou know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

To which i replied - well, next time I get my hair cut, I now purposely won't let him take any length off......:rotfl::TA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
