I have a confession to make (and one that I will never mention to my parents) but I am sitting here, looking online, drinking coffee and ....... listening to Radio 4!!!
:o
Whilst growing up I always through my parents were so boring for listening to it :rotfl:, but I wanted some background noise and not the tv so I thought I'd give it a go! It's the Archers omnibus.

Good morning guys,
Cold and drizzly today, and since I didn't wake up until 9.20am :eek: (in a panic when I realised the time) the walk is put off for another day. The kids were all playing nicely downstairs thank goodness and not been up to no good!!!
The ironing pile is clear and I have a pile of towels washing at the mo. The house needs a tidy through and I think I will make a couple of lasagnes and some portions of chilly for the freezer. My shop came to £126 and I aim for this to see us through for the next 3-4 weeks, again the biggest spends were the cat food and the milk.
It's taking ages to write this as LO keeps needing help defeating the witches on Shrek LOL. Anyway best go and do something constuctive.
Gentle hugs to all in need today and have a good one peeps.

That's it, you've joined the world of grown-ups now, when you listen to the Archers by choice!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hello all.
Didn't get on yesterday to post.
Has in horrendous mood yesterday but am taking smokeybabes sig to heart!
Baby was awake most of Fri night & then DH had the cheek to have a lie in yesterday morning. Baby cried all day. I think we have 2 top teeth though. He slept better last night. The calpol & baby neurofen may have helped
Didn't do much OS yesterday as needed to rest. Saying that, we made Pizza & wedges from scratch. He have been making the pizza base with a pack but DD wanted to make base properly. They looked great. I can't eat them cos of my IBS.
Today have done my Wii fit.
DW emptied. Need to put a load on & also finish the ironing pile. Want to run the hoover round & S&S the bathroom.
We are making fairy cakes this afternoon for the lunch boxes. Kids having cooked dinner, DH is having same but having a pie he needs to eat up. I'll have fish & veg.
Right folks (((hugs))) to all in need.
Off to get on with my bits & pieces.

Afternoon all
Hope everyone is well. I haven't caught up with the thread, yet.
We went to Stratford yesterday, which was nice, although it was a bit of effort. I have a lovely blister on the palm of my hand now, from the pressure of relying on the sticks. I lean heavier on the left, so only one hand is affected.
The girls were supposed to be going to their club today, but were too tired and wanted to stay to help here
I've got a joint of pork in the sc, for dinner. Which we will have later. No idea what with, at the moment. Hopefully, I will find some energy from somewhere as the day goes on.
There's a load in the wm - mainly towels, which needs to come out, but everything else is pretty much sorted. I'm slowly going through paperwork and shredding what's no good. There's piles of it. I should start bagging and selling hamster bedding with all the paper that is accumulating
Hope everyone's enjoying their Sunday

Love the Archers...I am in fact an Archers Addict!! I grew up listening to it and have never stopped. In fact I love Radio 4 as I love the spoken word and audio books.
Hope everyone ok. Im waiting for lunch to cook. I have made quiche with roasties and a cheesecake. Smells good. I have done washing and kids dad has done the ironing.
DS2 is in my bad books as he used all of his unlimited text allowance of 3000 texts and some!!! So he owes me money which he has started to pay off with vaccing. On closer inspection of his statement he spent all xmas eve and day texting his longstanding girlfriend. So goodness only knows what her phone bill is like too.
I am trying to keep positive today but feeling quite hopeless. Just nothing to look forward to. Anyway off to get my lunch xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Hola everyone
MSD Glad to here the Tris & Michelle are improving.
:grouphug: to those with sleepless babies and/or children :grouphug:
:grouphug: any not feeling 100% :grouphug:
Slept until 10am, very unusual, but was watching TV until 2pm. We are an hour ahead here, so puts TV timings out. We have lost the main 5 channels, without starting to pay, so are managing with what is left, we have Sky News, Eurosport, ITV3 & 4, 6 film channels, last night we watch a Morse, followed by a Nebus, then a Trial & Retribution on ITV3, repeats they may be but we hadn't seen them, and did not feel like going out. Been for our hours walk
, by the time I got back I had hardly any voice left, as the chest is still tight, and the cough is still there.
Just managed to get the other smilies to work on my PC, try going to the site right click on the smilie you want, select "copy image location", go to the picture symbol at the top of the reply box - the one with a mountain and a sun on it - then then paste location into that, having first put the cursor where you want your piccy. Some of you have it working easier, but for those who don't try that.
Got a chicken from Lidl yesterday, was going to get one of the pre-cooked herby ones, but decided that 7€ for a smaller one that I could get 1300kg 2.39€ was OOT,so will try to make a herby stuffing myself. Also got cauli, brocolli, and carrots, so a full roast dinner will be the result. Will then make a chicken casserole for the next day (or two) with the carcass.
Glad we went for our walk when we did, as it has gone rather overcast now, and rain is threatened for the next 3 days, so will hopefully get some HW and the tapestry done, rather than my time on here.
Take care

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Flutterbyuk - I have shocked myself recently by listening to Radio 4 - the kids think it is hilarious. I try to listen to womans hours but generally only remember about 10.45 :rotfl:
Havn't been home long, downloaded the lorry data then popped in Lidyl on the way home, we don't really have one near us. OH moaned then ended up spending most of the money in there. Also noticed a market was on so had a look in there, not many stalls but 2 scrapbook magazines & 1 home one for £1.50 for the three so that was a bargain.
Was naughty and got a hot dog whilst out, feeling a bit tired and lethargic now but am going to be good and go an get the ironing done.0
