Hi there, I would love to join this thread if that's ok. I am a keen baker although not expert.
After joining the grocery challenge for 2016 I am determined to bake more...albeit I am a little inspired by the beautiful cake stand I was given for Xmas!
My usual bakes are spiced fruit loaf (my granny's recipe) scones, sponge, cupcakes etc. Looking to try different types of cakes and also traybake....I know no baking involved but they can be delicious, also granola bars etc for my son who is 3 rather than encourage his addiction to Frosties bars that he is learning from my husband!
All ideas welcome and I look forward to posting my baking efforts and following your delicious recipes.GC = £150.58/£2500 -
Today with a little peace due to little one being at granny's I made lemon and coconut slice and muslei bars.now to see how long they last before being devoured.GC = £150.58/£2500

Hello!
I made a trifle last night, does that count although I didn't bake the Pannetone myself? I made the jam and the real cream and egg custard though

They look fun and very professional!
I ve been slaving away at more ruff puff pastry. It better be nicer than the tart the other night, as it for new years Scottish and steak sausage pie. I'm 100% sure this stuff is cheaper to buy than make it. They just love it. It's a bit of a tradition.0 -
