What have you baked today?

I am going to prepare some dough this afternoon (a wet mix, 700g flour 500ml water, 2tbs olive oil), and leave it overnight to prove. I may add a little yoghurt to the mix and try to get a sourdough flavour.
I haven't decided whether I am going to do 6 ficelles or 4 chunkier baguetes.

Today was Christmas cake day chez moi. I baked a 7 inch cake for us, and four mini loaves for gifts. Tomorrow I shall dig out the booze and start feeding them. Brandy for the gift cakes and whisky for ours, I think.

I've not baked for ages,then last week I made a Fochabers gingerbread for a jumble sale and a dried fruit cake for me.

Apple and Ginger Muffins made with wholemeal flour.

I am also going to have a look in the cupboards to see if I have everything I need for the Christmas baking.

I made chocolate bisquits with an orange filling, basically like jam bisquits minus the jam, plus an orange filling :-)
