Brilliant! I measure my time in the kitchen in book chapters on cds from the library - I could never read that many books on paper as I spend time in the kitchen :rotfl:First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
I am hoping one of you lovely talented cake decorators out there could give me some pointers on how to make a 'fish and chips' cake. I am thinking of a traditional fruit cake with marzipan and icing topped with the 'fish and chips'. I can find lots of super photos of such cakes on the internet but no recipes and so am not sure how to make realistic looking fish and chips. Green marzipan peas and a splash of red icing for the tomato sauce are easy - it's the other two things that have me baffled. I would like it to look as realistic as possible. Any ideas would be gratefully received.0

I used a blossom flower plunger cutter courtesy of Tesco Orchard (they sent me free vouchers to test out sections of a revamped store, so I used them all on baking related items). And the shimmer pearl things were reduced to 25p in Asda, so I stocked up a little bit

Sorry mare, I'm rubbish at things like posting pictures.
I made birthday cupcakes for my daughters friend who stayed with us. Also made a loaf of bread, or should I say the bread machine did.

Not baked for ages but felt inspired by this site so made chocolate brownies - didnt have and chocolate or butter so found a recipe using vegetable oil and cocoa - they look ok but are too hot to eat just now - children are waiting patiently for a sample!
Update - just tried them - not very sweet but nice and gooey!0
