I made a syrup sponge cake, which my lot can have after their dinner. I will do custard with it, I think. Didn't get a chance to make the biscuits I had planned to do but I will try and get those done tomorrow now.2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000

See you've found the forum, great way to hang onto your pennies
:):) I have transferred my baking to today as the weather was just too good yesterday, and DD and myself and four DGS toddled off to the coast yesterday for a day on the beach. So today will be my baking day

I made some of these and they were gorgeous ,my DGS Mikey approved of them as well I used some Concorde Grape Jelly that my DD brought back from the U.S. as its my favourite jam.
I may try to make some with lemon curd ,do you think it will turn out OK as I adore anything lemony
I also made a sultana and cherry cake and some melting moment biscuits this morning:jI much prefer home made stuff to shop bought stuff when it comes to cakes or biscuits0 -

Hi J.O... what a cool handle. Re lemon cakes, I use a recipe from here for lemon curd muffins, to which I add sultanas and it never fails me but didn't write the recipe down. I will have to find it and give credit where due as I only have my scribbled notes so it isn't mine to share sadly. Watch this space:money:0
