I sometimes convert Nigella's banana loaf into a small traybake. It's quite versatile as you can add nuts, des. coconut or cocoa powder (replace 20 g of flour). It takes less time to bake as a tray as it's flat, obviously ;)

Made rhubarb and mint crumbles in ramekins, the fruit from my garden, the mint from my neighbour's. There are four in my freezer and two in hers, plus one left out for me to eat tomorrow :)

If you don't mind me asking, what is the fiscal fasting that you have in your signature, please?

I am going to make a sponge syrup cake for the kids and possibly some oatie biscuits if I have enough energy to do so. I really want to get back to home-made more than shop-bought so have this on today's to-do list :)

I made a quiche. Not my best but it looked great.
Also made Nigellas guiness cake. Half for the freezer half for the in laws. I cannot believe how expensive cocoa has become.
I also saw a recipe for an angels food cake I wanted to try. Has anyone here made one? I am a bit put off as the recipe needs 10 egg whites.

I have made Angels food cake before, it's not difficult so long as you follow the recipe and it's quite nice (v sweet). I used he left over egg yolk to make hm custard :)
