Thank You. I am actually really enjoying it. I used to do a lot before having the 2 boys, then when my 2 year old was younger I worked in a sandwich shop which my mother in law owned, and I did a lot of the cakes for the shop for a few months, but since falling pregnant with my 14 week old last year, I seemed to stop baking - not really too sure why, just sort of happened. I don't really enjoy "shop bought" cakes - I find them to sweet and sticky alot of the time, and shop bought quiches tend to be flavourless etc. I like knowing exactly what my little boy is eating as well, and he seems to much prefer home cooked and baked food too.

So agree about wanting to know what goes into our mouths. Sometimes I read/count the ingredients in shop stuff - don't buy but makes you realise how few ingredients there are in HM compared to bought.
I have some milk - gone off - phew!
Also found from the garage stock - blame Mr F - he was in charge of stock rotation in there - tin of John West Red Salmon - 2008.
This one is down to me - Feta - should have been used in July.
I am off to bake.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I have made a lemon drizzle cake. It can't cool down quick enough for me to have a slice or two.0

I made a batch of pastry - result - 3 quiches. I have some pastry left in the fridge.
Plus I made JJ's Cheesy Herb Bread - had to use an old cake tin as baking trays all in use.

I'm making my first ever batch of bread pudding - we're trying to cut down on food waste and we are terrible for letting ends of bread go stale. This could be the solution - watch this space!Recovering Shopaholic
