Hi all I am in need of some baking advice please! I am going to try to make my little boys first birthday cake and I am looking for a Victoria sponge cake recipe to use.

I am wanting three layers and the tins I have are round 9 inch ones. I have what I think to be all of the ingredients needed but I am not sure on the quantities to use :o Also I haven't a clue what temp to cook at and for how long :o

Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you :)

I just googled 9" victoria sponge recipe and amongst others was a recipe for a hairy bikers cake (2 9" cakes), you should be able to plus this up by half recipe to get your 3 layers. Read the notes, someone suggested that the recipe made too much butter icing, so you may not need to adjust this part. (Not tried this myself)

Good luck, hope it turns out well.
