It's a basic loaf cake recipe:
    4oz S-R flour
    4oz Caster sugar
    4oz marge
    2 eggs
    2oz plain flour
    1/2 tsp of baking powder

Into that I added a handful (did not measure, I just added what I thought looked right) of chopped dark chocolate. I used the choc from Lidl which is very nice.

I use this basic recipe and add a whole range of things depending on what I've got in. DD's are partial to mini smarties.

Bake at G4 for 45 mins in my rubbish oven.

Thanks - I will have a go. Did you do creaming or all in one method please?

Woohoo! For the first time since I fell ill 7 months ago, I'm baking. :)

I've got a banana loaf in the oven and a wholemeal/white loaf proving.

I've really missed baking and my homemade bread, so I'm looking forward to eating them!

2 orange syrup cakes, one for now, one for the freezer and a steamed jam sponge for tonight's pudding is in the SC.

Might do some pizza dough for the freezer this afternoon.
