For tea I made a sauce to go with some pasta. It was full of veggies and tasted delicious! The only downside was that I'd intended to stir through some cream cheese before serving, but when I opened the tub it was mouldy!
For afters I made a microwave syrup sponge pudding from the Bero book, that cooked in 4 minutes! Delicious served with double cream!:)Less is more0 -
Muffins AGAIN.
I'm bringing muffins to work tomorrow for everyone. I've done a batch of double chocolate (with white chocolate bits in), I have a batch of carrot and walnut in right now, and some lemon and poppy seed still to go.
DH has his beady eye on one of the chocolate ones but he's not allowed one.0 -
A banana bread/cake thingy from one of Nigella's recipes I found on the internet but adapted to what I had in the cupboard, so the mixed dried fruit was dates, apricots and prunes, the walnuts were almonds and cashews and the water to steep the chopped dried fruit in was red wine and Amaretto plus I chucked some drinking chocolate in there for good measure. I think this recipe must be idiot-proof because it's turned out really, really deliciously.
Alas, I made it as a treat for a friend but I did save a little of the mixture and baked it separately so I could have a little taster. Just to ensure it was OK, of course0 -
