I made some Lazybones Buns from the Hairy Bikers Baking book yesterday, they are basically a hot cross bun but without the cross, they were so good I have a another batch started today! Plus I am going to be baking a Quiche Lorraine later for tomorrows dinner when the oven is on for tonights dinner and the buns.

taught 8 yr old granddaughter and 5 year old granddaughter to make scones. as I was busy helping the 5 year old the 8 yr old did hers on her own - I was so proud of her! they turned out perfect! she tried one and was so pleased with herself! the 5 yr old wouldn't try one - although hers were good too!
btw - the 8 yr old has ADHD and loves to bake or cook.

Pecan tassies are little tarts with a pastry base made from Philadelphia, butter and flour and a filling of pecans, egg, sugar and vanilla extract (off the top of my head) The kids love em.
For dinner tonight I made a huge lasagne (froze half for another day) followed by HM rock buns. Haven't had them for years either and even my son who claims not to like sultanas waded into one and said they were nice! Praise indeed x
