Lemon and lime drizzle cake; because I had a couple of limes and a lemon winking at me, from the fruit bowl.

  • Hello everyone, this is my first post on baking

Today's baking has been 18 small cakes/buns - 9 plain sponge and 9 chocolate (there are a few left!) plus 2 banana loaves one of which has gone into the freezer.

I'm getting much more into baking, which is going down very well with the family, so hoping to post quite frequently :)

It was my birthday yesterday so I baked a red velvet cake - made loads of mixture so made a big cake and lots of little ones too! Not too convinced of the texture but everyone else loved it!
  • Golden Syrup Sponge, baked in the oven. Had it with custard after tea. It's DS and DD' s favourite. Leftovers will be nice for lunchboxes tomorrow :).

    Keep Smiling :)

A request was placed for a lemon meringue pie for pud today by hubby and the kids asked for pecan tassies so I duly obliged. Both went down very well x
